Dodgers start Mark Hendrickson, LHP (2-0, 1.95) vs. Bobby Livingston, LHP (0-0, -.--).
Dodgers: 22-15 (1st place NL West, 2.5 GA, W2)
Reds: 15-22 (6th and last place NL Central, 10.5 GB, L2)
From Dodgers.com, the scouting report on the starters:
Dodgers: On Tuesday against the Marlins, Hendrickson endured his worst start since replacing Jason Schmidt in the rotation. He allowed home runs to Miguel Cabrera and Miguel Olivo, although two of the five runs against him were unearned. None of the four hitters he walked scored, but his lack of control contributed to his high pitch count and he couldn’t get out of the fifth inning.Reds: Livingston is making his first career Major League start, taking the place of Eric Milton, who was moved to the 15-day disabled list with a left elbow sprain on Wednesday. Livingston was 0-3 with a 3.22 ERA in seven starts this season at Triple-A Louisville. The southpaw made three relief appearances with the Seattle Mariners last year.
COMMENTS:
- The Dodgers haven't swept a three-game series since April 6-8 in San Francisco. Let's see if we can celebrate Mother's Day with (no, not a free lip gloss giveaway, Jamie McCourt!) a win today against the Reds. The Dodgers have won their last eight games against Cincy, dating back to 2005.

Steve,
I read your article "Cant we just get along" albeit a little late. NO, NO, NO we cannot get along. First of all, they change their name to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (whatever that means). They come into our Dodger territory and intrude their Fkn banners and colors in our city. Do they really think we will change allegiances because they call themselves The Los Angeles Angels. Worst of all, it burns my heart when Mike Scioscia is all part of this. Fk the Angels and let them crawl back in their underground pit where they belong. Dodgers will always rule forever!!
Hey Forever, I respectfully disagree. Personally, I'm cool with it. I'm a Dodger fan first and foremost but LA is big enough for two teams, and I don't mind supporting the Angels unless it would hurt the Dodgers. I feel the same way about the Clip joint.
Frankly, if all the red billboards around town compel the McCourts to actually spend some money on Dodger outdoor advertising, that's cool too (especially if it decreases the supply of those awful "Captivity" billboards). As for Scoscia, the Dodgers had their chance to take him during any of the Tracy years, and passed. I'm glad he won a title with LA of Anaheim. Geez, if I could pick one Angel for the Dodgers, though, it would be Vlad (and it's not like the Dodgers didn't have a chance to get him, too.)
But let's get real, they are still five short of the Dodgers' banners. They've got a long way to go. Thanks for your comment!
Ok Lanky lets see what you can do today.
For those of you who are listening to the game: is "horsemax" and "chariot max" either funny or clever? I don't think either is true.
Furcal doubles, gets to third on the sac bunt by Pierre.
What the hell is this horsemax?
Boy, this would be a great spot for our highest batting average player, oh wait, its Gonzo, not Martin...
Wow we got lucky there. Lurch looks prety shaky.
Wow, Freel has had two close ones that he couldn't get.
They could have gotten Betemit out with that throw.
Now that was a great play by Furcal - stay out of the double play and gets the run in. Nice job.
Nice second inning. The dodgers will need to score runs since Hendy is off today...
Even though I dont like it, Griffey still has a sweet swing. Dodgers losing 5-3.
Down by one, men on the corners. Time to earn your salary, Pierre.
Pierre up with the dodgers down 5-4 and men at the corners, one out. Does he hit into the DP? 0-2 count...
How'd you like Furcal telling LaRoche to score on the muffed catch for the steal? Good thing too as Pierre Ks (16th K this year). 5-5
no he takes a bad swing
Wolf in to run at first
Haha I haven't heard them play that big bad jon thing
nice pitching by Broxton. Blew Phillips away.
With first and third, this is a good place for Kemp to come up to hit a fly ball...oh wait a sec...
Guess I will take that...seeing eye blooper...
so this is what scoring runs feels like
Well, wasn't pretty, but was a nice inning to break it open. Lets get ready for those Cardinals. Go Blue!
Whoo hoo! A three-game sweep! Free lipstick for everyone!
Good afternoon, everybody!
