D'Vaughn Fields...Some Softball Questions

From a recent issue of Sports Illustrated:

THE QUESTIONS WITH JUAN PIERRE, DODGERS CF

What was your welcome-to-the-big-leagues moment?
The first time I put on a helmet with the earflap on just one side.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
My first big league hit. It was against Jose Silva of the Pirates. I swung with all my might and hit a dribbler up the third base line.

Your favorite off-day activity?
Watching the NBA playoffs on TV.

If I were commissioner for a day, I'd...
eliminate that waiting around to come out of a commercial break on TV before we start the inning. If the pitcher is ready to go, you should go.

If I weren't playing baseball, I'd be...
I'd like to think I would be in the NBA, but I'd probably be an accountant. That's what I studied in college before I got drafted. I'd be handling someone else's money right now.
