Game 106 Thread: Aug 2 vs. Padres, 7p

Hiroki Kuroda (8-9, 3.53) vs. Clayton Richard (8-5, 3.48).

COMMENTS: "Just lay back and let the warmth of fourth place embrace you," wrote NicJ in yesterday's Post-Mortem Thread, and I have to agree with that sentiment. There's a certain peace in accepting the inevitable; the hopes and fears which plague us suddenly become afterthoughts, and we learn to enjoy the process rather than the end result. Let's take this time to enjoy the camaraderie here, the subtleties of the game, the joy of having the privilege of following our favorite team together.

Ahhh, whatever. We suck.

yeah, but im pretty sure we wont be getting any help next year.

im worried about next year. We wont have manny at all and i doubt we are going out and signing an impact bat for the lineup. Its becoming harder and harder to defend the rest of these guys that they can hit without manny.

We need so much help next year. Three holes in the rotation, an open spot in the outfield, and a needed upgrade at third.

Well even if we put on more dead weight next year at least will be cathartic to get rid of this years deaf weight. How happy will I be when GAARP is gone? Very happy.

You're probably right about that Nic. But given that, not sure how breaking us helps - then we just have different parts that still don't have an impact player or player.

Way to preach, Nancy Bea!

Sad, pathetic little PGT up.

GAARP nowhere to be seen tonight. Trying to take something positive...

@Paul 10:39p: what makes you think GAARP won't be back next year? the same logic that makes us hope he won't be on the team this year?
