Gentlemen, your father is very kind.

Animal Collective makes the hard days a little easier.
This is Red 5 to Red Leader. We are making our attack run.
I kinda want to buy a digital piano.
Listening to Jints broadcast. One sponsor is Super Cuts. Ironic considering Timmeh's hair.
Warsh yer har, Timmah!
pitch better big Z!!! just walked the bases loaded.
DeWitt Kd in the first to end the Cubs' rally at two runs
Z Ks Torres to escape the bases-loaded jam
2-0 CHC through two, both pitchers at around 36-38 pitches
people using the word warsh is one of my biggest pet peeves for some strange reason. When i was a lad in kindergarten my teacher used to say it and it would piss me off then too.
I also hate when people pronounce the word crayon as "crown"
BTW, that wasnt directed at you josh i just went into a blind rage when i saw it typed out.
What is a warsh?
@Mr F - When you get free seats for a crappy team.
IBB to get to dewitt.
TEACH THEM A LESSON!
(arm falls off)
come on DeWitt!
sigh
big Z issues his 5 walk in 2.1 IP.
We were fools to expect Big Z to show any level of control.
MRLASF: I think I understand.
giants hit into second DP of the night.
this is comedy.
HE'S A MONSTER!!!!
When will the old racist woman choke on his thumb?
Giants have "Dunk a Dodger" at their tailgate. Pssshhh
Go Cubs goooo go cubs goooo hey Chicago whadddya say the Cubs are gonna win today.
God I hate that song but I hate the Giant more.
Sounds like the collective surly factor is 5+ tonight. Must be frustration with the day's puzzle, lack of Dodgers game, and use of a hick way to say "wash."
I like it in here!
@Nic
That's in my top 10 of pet peeves, but it's 54 times worse if "warsh" is part of the word "warshington." Some people say it this way because they're ignorant hicks, and others say it to be purposefully derogatory toward the Washington political establishment.
Often the two types of people are one in the same.
I watched my first ever episode of It is always sunny in Philly.
I didn't know Eithier was in that show.
Speaking of pet peeves:
HATE IT when sock dicksmack at work sends me an email, and then 30 seconds later walks into my office and asks me if I got their email.
This doesn't happen much any more though since I killed a staffer and put his head on a pike outside my office with a sign to remind people why he died.
Stupid fatty.
sixth BB of the night.
Double play double play come on.
I'll take it.
no whammies, no whammies, no whammies.
Big Z out of the jam.
SADISON
Are we allowed to use the phrase "douchehole" in this space?
The PCS in general this season has my surly factor at 5. They're not bad puzzles, they're just frustrating as hell for me for whatever reason.
Yay VORP! That's where I'm a Viking!
My general surliness has contributed to my PCS ambivalence of late. That and Axelle Red-themed puzzles kicking my ass earlier this season. I am so easily discouraged right now.
Hooray for only one of four Xaviers who have ever played in the bigs!
yet another walk.
stupid buster.
DeWitt!!!
I knew you would save us.
Lighting speed.
Z pinch hitting for himself.
3-2 Cubs!
DeWitt scores!! Giants suck!
cubs take the lead again!!
I'm not very confident in this Cubs pen.
Bad News Bears 3
Hated Ones 3
I'd like to quote myself at 9:07 PM when I presciently said, "I'm not very confident in this Cubs pen."
If I am destined to get pissed off watching crappy middle relief this year.
Bill Walton and the Dead in the seats.
3-3 game in the seventh
Nice play Joyce!!
Holy balls, there's a whole other thread in here!
Lead off walk. Cubs in trouble. Pray for double play.
I listened to the pre-game on the way home, and they carried the national anthem played by some of the former Grateful Dead band members. One of the only times I've ever been moved during this song.
RIP Jerry! *pours some out*
^Watsamattau.
My typo has upped the surly factor to 3. I didn't even attempt the puzzle.
Wattsamattawitu
cubs are desperately trying to throw this game away
two on, one out, in a tie game in the bottom of the eighth
Cubs in a jam but 2 outs now w 2 on.
Out of the jam.
@Mr C 9:38p: Is this what you were referring to at SoSG Fest, when you mentioned the quick proliferation of posts and the Scooby Doo reference?
Strike out Torres
Fly out Renteria
Cubs live for another inning! 3-3 going to the ninth!
The Giants are playing a team without their big hitter again.
Douche bag warning! Wilson up.
^That jam will be called Drums>Space>Scarlet Begonias in honour of the Dead tonight.
@Saxy
That was me actually. (And Nic's original Scooby Doo simile)
Posey called for interference. Ha ha.
Buster Posey interferes, Tyler Colvin awarded first base...
one out for Chicago
@Dusty, my bad. Sorry there!
I gotta find that scooby doo day again, that was good times. Today, I spent all my blog-related time managing the PCS puzzle...
That day was hilarious...there were 4 or so relevant posts, and the same 5 or 6 people just went from one post to the other and back to another.
Cubs can't score. I don't feel good about this.
two-out double from Burrell in the ninth; Giants poised to win it
Aaron Rowand pops out to Fonte?NOT to end the inning
To extras in SF!
this is a big inning for HLACK's fantasy squad. Come on Byrd & Soriano!!!
@Dusty/Sax
More that I just didn't realize that there was a robust scoreboard watchIng thread after completing the PCS
You were in a post-PCS haze, Mr C. Put on some Allman Bros and cool down.
I'll take a 2 run bomb from Alfonso right now
I may have made this PCS a bit too hard. I'm double-thinking everything here.
one out for the cubs, man on first, top of the tenth
two on, two out for koyie hill.
please get a hit so i can say "yeah, koyiiieeeeeee"
That's rich, Sax. I'm embarrassed, frankly, that I didn't think of that Koyie Hill bit before.
well, koyie couldn't get it done. 3-3 going to the bottom of the 10th.
sigh.
@DB: it's easy to think of that phrase when one walks around all day with a big-ass watch strapped to a chain necklace
this is going to be won on a SF solo HR, I know it
I was trying to preserve your cover, Sax/Flavor.
Colvin. Hit one out please.
We go to the bottom 11th.
the longer this game goes, the tastier that frog avatar looks
# 2 pounds frog legs
# 2 tablespoons olive oil
# 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
# 1 shallot, minced
# 2 cloves garlic, minced
# 1 tomato, chopped
# 1 cup chicken stock
# 1/2 teaspoon paprika
# 3 tablespoons flour
# 2 tablespoons parsley (optional)
# salt and pepper
Bases loaded, no outs for Jints. Pat the Shat up to bat.
Son of a bitch. Why did Cubs choose tonight to try out some child as a relief pitcher in late innings?
well, marcos mateo, your two straight leadoff singles just cost your team the game in the 11th. nice work, dude.
I never trust guys with two or more first names.
And I really don't trust Philip Michael Thomas.
Jan Michael Vincent: a-hole
whoomp, there it is. Sac fly wins it for the giants.
Giants are now 1.5 GB in the NL West, and lead the NL WC by one full game over Philly and St Louis.
@DB 10:52p: Dammit, the shallot! I always forget the shallot.
DAMMIT
Stupid Cubs. This is why they haven't won anything in 102 years.
I'm up to 5 on the surly scale due to missing a Flavor Flav paraphrase opportunity, Jints losing, and fact that I didn't have time to properly address the puzzle today.
Remember the Home Improvement kids?
Zachary Ty Bryan?
Scumbag.
Hmmm...staring at the MLB.tv screen, I notice that when the A's are at Seattle, their logos essentially make "AsS."
That's all I've got.
That's not nothin', Josh.
Dusty out. Going to hit the sack and let some old Dead songs take me to sleepy land. RIP Jerry!
