This is what The Assassins' Circle has taught me through 3 rounds:
- Self-discipline is paramount. It's not easy to stand down throughout a 6-hour window, especially when your Target is hanging his matzo ball out there just asking to be gunned down. But must you kill simply because you're given the opportunity? The answer, at least for me, has historically been a no-brainer 'yes' - but in the context of this game, suddenly I'm not so sure.
- As the bodies pile up, the available cover dwindles, and the danger rises.
- A burgeoning industry is developing around guessing your Stalker's lunch schedule.
- The dead lead a less stressful life.
Anyhow, let's rack 'em up! (for rules and side discussions, click here):
And I love how two days ago Karina killed Wicks with her eyes closed and then told him, "I hope you feel better :("
...and how yesterday, she offed Paul with the kill comment "Sorry..." then told him, "I didn't tell you at the moment because i didn't want you to suffer in advance."
...and how today she leads all players in kills.
Anyhow, let the killing among the living commence. Meanwhile, the rest of us will be watching the carnage while knocking back a few with the Chicas Polar at our favorite afterlife watering hole:

RB, If you cover me now, I promise not to use my kill comment against you
"We don't serve the living."
Classic EK, Classic
Can I get an order of sliders and fries to go with my beer bartender? I can't enjoy watching assassins work on an empty stomach.
Karina IS cold blooded....all should be aware! :)
Quad - sliders, fries, and beer coming right up. I assume the beer goes on rbnlaw's tab?
Meanwhile I'm enjoying a forty courtesy of Dr Geek. J Steve, you drink malt liquor?
I hope a gin and tonic tastes better in the afterlife than it does in the world of the living.
Correct EK. Rbnlaw is buying my beer. Well, the first one at least.
@Dr. Geek
Only if this place stocks Hendrick's. I think I'll find out on Q7's dime.
Go for it Mr. Customer. I do owe you a drink. Cheers!
@ Mr. Customer
Now that I think about it, why would I want a gin and tonic in the after life when I can have an inifinite supply of scotch!
@Dr. Geek
I find your proposal intriguing. Can the undead get hangovers?
*drinks some Bacardi but has it come out several bullet holes that riddle his body, like John Forsythe in the movie Scrooged*
FB: Covered.
Hey Barkeep, how 'bout a shot of Wild Turkey for ol' time's sake!
Why is it that I'm the only one in here that actually looks dead? I mean, Mr. C looks like Andre Ethier wearing a silly costume, and FB looks a bit like Fernando.
"Is anybody alive in here?
Anybody alive in here?
Anybody at all in here?
Nobody but us in here
Nobody but us."
FB: "RB, if you cover me now, I promise not to use my kill comment against you."
Are promises from assassins really worth anything? I guess we'll see.
@ Mr. Customer
Never having gotten a hangover myself, I feel I am not qualified enough to answer this question.
Oh well. i'll have to jump to the infinite because i can't stay any longer, i'm on my way out to a protest. Maybe this is a very good day to die (i have the flu, so i have three ways to die today!).
Lauro, when you kill me, i'd like a vodkatini.
Wicks and Paul, ask for whatever you want, it's on my dime.
What are you protesting, Karina?
Senseless killing? Furcal leading off?
3:00 can't come soon enough. This is going to be good. *rubs hands fiendishly*
Dr. Geek: Conscientious drinker or gigantic impervious cranium?
I can say I've a little of both, but sometimes the last scotch ambushes me.
Karina is sitting out there naked to the World.
My spidey sense feels that Lauro is waiting, not wanting to be drawn out by Karina's bold move. If Lauro strikes, he will be taken down by his nemesis, who is also waiting in the wings.
Now...back to your regular programming.
Neeebs sets it up. 72 minutes and counting. And watching. And hitting F5.
@Neeebs,
Or he could just be gobsmacked by karina sitting out there naked to the world:O
*fans self*
It's amazing how fun this is as a spectator sport!
@ Dr. Customer
Dancing around like a loon and telling my girlfriend that I love her oh-so-much and want to marry her are the obvious signs that I have had too much to drink.
It keeps me from worshipping the porcelain throne the following morning.
Sorry fb I took so long to reply to your question on other thread but yes you can shield another with kill comment just not yourself
Here comes the rush!
Wait, did Dr. G just promote me?
I guess your thesis on left-handed hitting was accepted, Dr. Customer.
Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick....
I'm Ed Bradley...
I'm either safe or getting a kill and getting killed.
*plays bugle* da da da DA da DA CHARGE!!!
DAMNIT! I GAVE YOU COVER YESTERDAY, YOU MURDERING MURDERER.
Epale, mofos!
you guys are still playing this thing???
Orel, playing it safe.
GLG:
You live to see Tuesday due to my selfless act of covering FB.
Wow, Orel with the trash talk!
Even karina survived. If I'm not mistaken, only one casualty; Lauro.
That is some trashy trash talk, indeed! I approve. Now go sucker punch someone in the mouth and run backward 20 yards.
Didn't Lauro take out Karina?
Are the rules changing now that we are down to 4 or staying the same?
Drink up Karina is buying!!!
@Lauro - I tried to delay it as long as possible
I would like to say that I wouldn't have died so quickly yesterday but I didn't want to miss happy hour at the assassins bar and Dusty was going to start his karaoke performance.
I was doing interpretive dance to "Don't Stop Believin'" as well.
If rbnlaw wins by 1/2 kill, how funny would that be?
Looks like Karina is drinking, and Lauro is drinking.
Did I call it, or what?
I was in Chicago last year in December when it was 3 degrees and cloudy all day. I would only go outside to go to the next bar. I am guessing that is the closet thing to this assassin afterlife.
My mistake. I forgot Lauro was stalking karina.
Hey Orel,
Good thing Gagne's got those glasses. He can see the target on your back.
Back to the bell tower for me.
Yup, Karina and Lauro rubbed out by Lauro and GLG, respectively.
There probably won't be any significant rule changes (perhaps a shortening of the 9-3 time window), but if there are any I'll post them on Monday.
Next kill thread on Tuesday, 9am. May both the dead and living have a good holiday weekend!
Ek: I thought that there was only, "the quick and the dead."
Neeebs, it is more like "the patient and the dead."
And congratulations on your graduation, Dr. Customer.
