Yeah, we've been heavy on the Star Wars content lately. Hey, just be glad my favorite movie isn't Zardoz.
And we're not the only baseball concern that loves Star Wars. Thanks to Big League Stew —even if 'Duk can't tell the difference between Oola and Aayla Secura—for bringing to our attention the Pawtucket Red Sox (Boston's Triple-A team) and their Star Wars Day last Sunday.
And Bantha-sized thanks to Flickr user tekjock, whose page we lifted these photos from like Yoda lifting Luke's X-Wing from the Dagobah swamp:

Quick Star Wars/baseball story:
2 years ago when Star Wars Celebration IV was held at the convention center, the Cubs were also in town. My wife and I went to eat at IHOP downtown, and we were surrounded by stormtroopers and Cubs fans. It was the most interesting breakfast I ever had.
That Pawtucket game looked awsome.
Orel - I think you've got some closeted Zardoz issues to work out:-)
Thats the first time I've ever seen Zardoz, and I think I'm gonna have nightmares tonight.
I can't believe that all the good parts of Zardoz were taken from YouTube. It's not like they are preventing people from purchasing the movie or something....
This is simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
I don't know who that guy in the orange diaper is, but why are you featuring a semi-naked Giants fan with a gun here?
