Injury Updates

From Diamond:

Setup man Jonathan Broxton could be available to pitch as early as today after suffering a strain of his right lat, according to Manager Joe Torre.

Broxton threw long toss and is scheduled for a bullpen session when the team arrives in Colorado today.

"There's no pain right now," Broxton said.

Jason Schmidt (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session today and could be headed out on a rehabilitation assignment by the weekend.

Tony Abreu (abdomen) was expected to return to extended spring training in Vero Beach, Fla. and soon begin a rehabilitation assignment.

"All he has to do is run the bases," Torre said.
