| What do you mean I can't use executive privilege for that? |
Gee, are we going to talk about PEDs now that the Giants are in town? Even setting aside the (completely understandable) schadenfreude and the turnabout-is-fair-play needling of Giants apologists who were all too ready to pile on when the Dodgers lost their own slugging outfielder not-so-very-long ago, this was always going to be a series to get fired up for.
The Dodgers get both Bumgarner and Cain this time around (on either side of a Timmeh sandwich), so it's critical that they bring some of that offensive momentum back with them from their successful road trip. Counting today, there are nine more games with San Francisco left, so it would be fantastic if we could put them on the defensive to start the final quarter of the season.

Eff, Urine.
Bumstead at 118 pitches.
Vicster and Urine. You are just swell.
We are completely screwed.
meh
123 pitches for TopBabyGirl'sName.
At least we have Mellis-Kemp-Hanram?
Damn it all, this was the game we needed to win.
Beli in. Donnie thinks we still have a chance.
We have a chance, just not a GOOD chance.
Fat Panda is fucking fat. I mean, he's portly.
@ Sax at 7:06 p.m.: Thanks for the tip re. the Russian Standard. Will have to try that some time.
I'll fess up: the weeknight Sauvignon Blanc is -- I kid you not -- the ultra-overachieving Oak Hill Saouvignon Blanc. It's clean as a whistle, consistent as can be, and well below $4 per 750 ml. Even though I'm in the wine biz,I love this stuff as a weeknight sipper.
I tells ya, folks, this noffense can lead you to a second or third nightcap.
My bad: It's Oak Leaf Sauvignon Blanc.
I've seen that shit for two bucks at my walmartian,CB. I'm down with cheap booze.
Wow 36k at the game tonight to see Kershaw. Placed will be packed for free doll night tomorrow.
Damn, that was nasty.
Pleaaaaase don't waste it.
@rbnlaw: I know that there are more than a few big-and-tall men's shops here in The OC to serve The Panda's sartorial needs.
LAST CALL FOR RUNS
Back to back to back homeruns can't be that hard to do again right?
@Spank: It's surprisingly good and consistent. Nice acid structure and long, spicy finish. I've now started calling the Oak Leaf SB my baby Sasncerre.
Yes, I am a wine nerd. I admit my sin.
* Sancerre
Fuck. You. Romo.
This is not looking good guys
That was great.
An appreciation for booze in its myriad of forms is what makes us all one big happy alcoholic family here, CB.
Also: Fuck. This. Noise.
This game makes me want to plunger rape an orangutan.
So say we all, DB.
@Chad: you're in the wine biz? We must talk.
Care to sponsor SoSG Fest III?!?!
I fully anticipate the solo shot followed by a Rivera groundout for maximum heartbreak here.
Mellis K
(cries)
Let's. Go. Hanley.
HANley SOLO
1-for-1.
Now watch this.
Stubbsy,you bastard. haha.
There you go Stubs.
Buh-bye, ball!
HamRam HR! AT LAST!
So, it's not a shutout!
Bring up Loney!!!
Close your eyes Rivera!
HanRam!
I'd rather have Miguel from Bad News Bears bat than Rivera.
Now i have to endure a commercial break for a first pitch groundout?
Oh, shit. Forgot Hanley was 4th tonight!
Oh Dre up. Lefty up. Crap.
Real or fake?

2 strikes. Wither and die.
I want to T-bone Zito in WeHo tonight.
@Stubbs at 9:49 p.m.: That's why I've been a happy SoSG reader before today, and a happy (I fear) poster starting this afternoon.
@DB at 9:49 p.m.:That's a terrifying image.
Let's keep this going, Dre!
PGTUP
Different batter, same result.
Fucking Dre.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
WAAAAAHHHH!
(cries)
Oh well.
It's ok boys, we are just getting them overly confident.
@Stubbs @9:57
Nice effort, though. For a rook.
Sigh.
What a waste of a nice start -- as well as a gorgeous mid-game catch -- by Kersh.
Crap on rye.
(swallows last sips of Cosmopolitan, tonight's nightcap)
Good game thread, bad result.
