Pitcher Rubby De La Rosa will be headed back to Boston as the centerpiece of the deal, sources say. De La Rosa made his first major league appearance of the season Wednesday, having had Tommy John surgery about 13 months ago. Also included are first baseman James Loney and prospects Ivan De Jesus (infielder) and Jerry Sands (outfielder), according to sources, plus another top prospect that is still unknown.BOSTON -- The Dodgers and Red Sox are closing in on a deal that would send Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford and Nick Punto to Los Angeles, though a few hurdles remain before it's official, multiple baseball sources said Friday.
I think Juan Uribe would make an excellent prospect.
UPDATE 5.02p PT: they're saying the +1 is Allen Webster. So close.

I don't know Punto from Adam. Anyone?
The Giants have the easier schedule down the stretch, 3GB, i guess they thought the FA pool wasn't that great and they have a better shot of going deep into this postseason. So far it seems these guys don't care about the money and i just wanted A-Gon plus we will probably win the division so everyone make party! It's not like they were going to ever give Sands a chance anyway. Dudes we have no control over these moves so at least it isn't just another pointless one out of Ned. I'm gonna go buy a cigar! Looks like i saved my voucher for the right time woooot
I know I'll probably call him Puto.
Right on, DKOTG.
Sands had no real future with Puig in the fold.
...and Uribe.
And with not being able to hit a thing whenever he was called up.
Is it time to move my JLO bobblehead to the shelf of ex dodgers?
@Streak
It is decidedly so.
This is one interesting trade. That is a lot of salary to take on the payroll.
Ken! A Ken sighting! Awesome. GLG showed up tonight as well as Ken. Who will show up next, Booger?
Meaniebreanie?
Karen?
Pedro Guerrero?
Beats me.
*shrugs*
