With a win today, the Dodgers could ensure this road trip ends up a successful one, and possibly inch back into first place. But that's going to require besting Ben Sheets, whose late-season return to baseball after sitting 2011 out has been pretty successful: six GS, all of which lasted 6.0 or more IP and four of which resulted in wins. Harang has been pretty consistent, only giving up three or more ER once in his last seven starts, going back to June.
But it's the offense that is going to need to turn it on--no more of this on the road, extra-inning, situational bunting shit!--and over at the infield corners, the abysses at first base plus the Hairston-less 3B make our lineup challenging. Or, put another way: Uribe's a brick, and I'm drowning slowly.
