Game 106 Thread: August 1 vs. Snakes, 12n

Stephen Fife (0-0, 1.46) vs. Patrick Corbin (2-4, 4.15).

Shane Victorino is expected to join the lineup today and bat leadoff, playing left field along with Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier in the outfield. Given the Dodgers have only scored two runs in each of their two games this homestand (with other pickup Haley Ramirez hitless in the two games), while ceding a barrage of home runs to the Diamondbacks, this would be a nice time to get some punch back into our offense.

Corbin is being recalled by the Diamondbacks for today's game, a business person's special. But just to kick you readers off in the comment thread: Do you expect the Dodgers to knock some (Polar) Blasts today? And orange you glad I didn't go down the fruit-juice pun angle? Wait a second.

It just doesn't take long for us to suck giant donkey balls.

I mean the balls are giant. Not the donkey. The donkey is average sized. Just his balls are big.

Can't fault Victorino for not being able to hit. He did do a lot of traveling to get to LA and we know how sensitive he is to the elements.
