At-Game Recap: Vin Scully Bobblehead Night

Vin and Sandra Scully take center stage.

Vin pauses from posing with his bobblehead to admire something behind him. Perhaps a rainbow?

Vin went out of his way to greet Kirk Gibson. Pure class.

Vin acknowledges the love from his adoring public.

Vin blesses the crowd between innings after a moving video tribute was played on Diamond Vision.

See Vin's pitch after the jump!

The windup....

The pitch....

What in blue blazes?

Vin takes the ball over to his waiting grandchildren, having them pass it down the line....

Then he flips it to Don Mattingly.

The wait on the Reserve level to get in. Due to a lack of security, the orderliness of the line disintegrated once the gates opened.

Talk about painting the corners.

Mother Nature got the memo.

I leaped out of my seat and whooped when I realized Vin was going over to greet Gibby. Amazing moment.

Been watching Vinny clips this morning, fighting back some tears. I am so glad he is on our team.

Maybe the most moving event I've experienced at Dodger Stadium.

Did his granddaughter's singing sound as bad in the stadium as it did on tv?

A little wobbly in the low registers but she hit all the high notes. Overall she had a much better night than the Dodgers did.
