Post-Game 111 (Binary 7) Thread: Return of the King (James)

DODGERS 3, NATS 2 (10)

King James Loney hit a one-out, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the tenth to even the series. King James delivered the walkoff heroics after Andre Ethier was IBB'd to load 'em up. Losses from the Padres, Giants, and Rockies also made this a nice night for a victory. Jonathan Broxton pitches a scoreless ninth and tenth (the Nats scored in the first but not again in the game), and Matt Kemp barely missed what would have been his fifth career grand slam in the fourth (it still scored one off the sac fly and another off a throwing error to an uncovered first base). So it took an extra inning for this offense to eke out a third run; hey, we'll take it.

Hey, our number was higher than their number!

I actually turned it off after the ninth so we could watch the Galaxy/Real Madrid friendly on the DVR.

I should keep it on the DVR to use whenever the Dodgers get in trouble.

Walkoff win, King James version.

@Sax - I think you nailed it, the Dodger offence is scoring in binary. 3 runs? No, try 11!

Matt Kemp was once again trying to hump FJL in the post-walkoff-hit celebration. Not as bad as last time but still.

Tag line for the season? Dry humping our way to victory!

One-game winning streak baby! Unstoppable!

I'll be at the yard tomorrow, acting like I own the place.

(And who knows, there could be a King Ralph situation where I do end up owning the place.)

Maybe James should let Matt, uh, finish.

Who knows? It could break him out of his slump.

King James, slump buster.

Who got sloppy seconds on FJL?

FJFL is Dre 2.0.

The new King Clutch (which is where I go for all my transmission repairs).

@Josh S: if I recall correctly, you'll be in a suite. Live it up, my friend!

@Sax: Oh, I intend to. The dessert cart won't know what hit it.

Josh is going to be shoveling cookies into his purse.

Josh S: having suited myself, let me tell you that Dodger Dogs taste almost as good microwaved a couple of days later, for breakfast fare.
