Post-Game 66 Thread: Humber Off; Road Win Anyway

WHITE SOX 5, DODGERS 4

Vin Scully was all over what a mess Philip Humber was, but Humber hung in there for a 99-pitch, 5.0 inning stint that gave him the victory. This came despite letting the Dodgers rally back from a 4-0 deficit in the bottom of the third (RBIs in consecutive order from Jerry Hairston, Bobby Abreu, A.J. Ellis, and James Loney); the White Sox promptly came out an scored an unearned run in the top of the fourth and that was the score that held up. Four White Sox relievers held the Dodgers in check for the final four innings. Chad Billingsley took the loss.

All was not lost, however. The Giants were up 4-2 on the Mariners but gave up five runs in the fifth and sixth innings to lose, 7-4. The Dodgers retain a four-game lead in the NL West. See you tomorrow!
