Clayton Kershaw (5-3, 2.86) vs. Travis Blackley (1-2, 4.60).
Here it is, Clayton: your chance to salvage one in Oakland and even out the Dodgers' interleague record, which stands at 5-6. The Dodgers head to Anaheim next for another three with the Angels, so a little momentum would be nice, no?
Speaking of the A's, this blew my mind: according to Ken Gurnick, Rickey Henderson "has no official role with the A's but suits up and hangs out as he chooses." Didn't the Dodgers run into this issue with Manny Mota? Anyway, I love that Rickey loves the game so much and/or has nothing better to do.

Nice to see some Dodger Blue in the GT post. I think Stubbs and I blew it with the last two. I featured a former A's player and a player's wife. Stubbs' chess board was in Raider colors.
(Rickey doesn't count because he was a Dodger.)
Just woke up at the Coliseum. Well might as well stay for today's game and see if we can double the run production of the last two games!
I hope we don't get Blackleysted.
You're right, Gnomes. Bad form on my part. I blame Al Davis.
Twitter is down. Everybody panic.
When do the beer stands open, Paul?
Two games in, and Marla hasn't blamed Oakland yet.
Gordon SS
Herrera LF
Ethier RF
Rivera 1B
Hairston 2B
De Jesus DH
Uribe 3B
Gwynn CF
Treanor C
Kershaw P
Twitter is back up. Everybody calm down.
HOLY CRAP IDJ STARTS!
Sadly, not in place of Uribe.
There's a lot of slappy in that lineup.
You can spell THUD with the letters in that lineup. Seems appropriate.
It's too easy to blame Oakland NOW!
I was partying with Celery in a dream last night. He's a chick magnet. Cc:Delin0
I'm stuck on the BART....doh!
When does Uribe go away?
Well time to catch up on the best albums of 1975.
Speaking of didn't you guys post about the similarities of patty smith and Timmy? Or did I dream that.
If Tampa is going to have 1979 throw back unis I think the Dodgers should have 1779 throwback unis.

Jon Weisman:
"The Dodgers’ best hitters in [the last five games] have probably been Elian Herrera (5 for 20 with two doubles and two walks) and Juan Uribe, who has a single and three doubles in 17 at-bats. The remaining Dodger hitters have one extra-base hit in 141 at-bats."
Zoinks.
Dodger blue breeches!!
That was a fun re-read, Orel.
Finally here! Get out of my way old lady with the Oakland visor I need a beer.
What's the attendance like? Is it just you and the old lady with the visor?
And the little kid in the novelty oversized foam cowboy hat?
Here's hoping tonight's game is exciting enough that I don't have to resort to reading the Wikipedia entry for the O.co Coliseum again.
Did you know it's the only stadium left in the US that is home to two teams? Did you also know that in 1979 the A's drew less than 1,000 people to a game?
Do you get the Mausoleum credit if you were there for a Raider game? Or does it have to be in baseball configuration......
Lots of blue here!
Way to change things up, boys!
The A's are trying to match us in failed bunts. Don't mess with the masters!
Outfield defense has been suspect lately. Hererra caught that, but it sure didn't look like he was going to.
A's up 1-0, 2nd inning. Game over.
Goddammit, I turn on the game, it's only the second inning, and we're already losing.
With Kershaw on the mound, no less.
WHAT THE FUCK, DODGERS???
Now the A's hit into a double play? They are totally trying to steal our act.
You guys having trouble with making comments over internet explorer? had to switch to chrome
@Gnomes 11:51a: are you sure that for Uribe, Weisman didn't write "the Dodger's best EATER"?
nope, had the same prob on chrome as well. back to explorer
I'm having trouble making positive comments on any browser.
I am getting restless...
HAI GUYZ R WE GETTING NO-HITTED AGAIN?
STOP FUCKING BUNTING DEE
A HIT
Herrera doubles!
In play: Run(s)?
Rivera ties it!
Then gets picked off!
Yoenis Centipedes pops out.
epale everyone!
Well at least I will be home in time to tuck in My boy.
howdy yall!
We aren't losing!
right now

BUNT MAN!
which is more difficult to do at the major league level: bunt for a single or draw a walk?
shit - gotta go home
you guys can post again now
The last 3 innings Kersh has looked great.
1-1 after 6.
I'm not really sure if the Dodgers know they're playing against the A's.
FB's comment stretched farther than the average Dodger bunt.
Rivera doubles with two out. 1 3 0 line for both teams.
It's cool guys, Scout says Kershaw has plenty left in the tank.
When was last time we hit a homerun?
God dammit we couldn't score in a brothel.
But Scout also says Blackley has plenty left in the tank. WHICH IS IT SCOUT?
It's a victory when we get an out that isn't a strikeout.
"When was the last time we hit a home run?"
October 15, 1988.
@Paul: "Well at least I will be home in time to tuck in My boy."
Saying that guarantees this game will go at least 18 innings.
Take the WALK!
Mr. Misty walks to open the 9th!
double play bunt coming from Dee?
A...walk?
Treanor walks!
Does that count for a run? It's been so long since we've rallied, I've forgotten.
I guess Dee Gordon doesn't read this blog or our tweets or anyone's for that matter.
All bunts are foul.
pitch 1: dee bunt...foul
pitch 2: dee bunt...foul
pitch 3: in play, out(s)
goddammit
i want to take a bat and bunt dee gordon to death
attempted double play failed by Dee
If we tweet AT him, will he read it?
well done, treanor and gordon, to get the force at second
dee, your only shot at redemption here is 3 SBs in this inning
Fuck me runnin. NOT THE FUCKING BUNT!!!
Too bad we don't have one of the best bunters of all time hanging around the team to give players, incl Gordon, some tips.
I wonder if Dee is confused because he can't bunt himself to second base.
Gosh, the idea was not getting caught, Dee.
Dee needs a week off, and then to go to ABQ
DELAYED DOUBLE PLAY.
dee gordon, you fucking suck
Actually I would prefer him in the 8 hole. He played better down there
Poenis Cespedes with the walk off HR?
i don't have a good feeling about this bottom of the ninth
i'm really glad we're going into a weekend series with the angels, and a series in san francisco, with this type of offensive momentum.
Hey, I know! We'll trade for Tulo!
@Sax don't forget the Mets who pitch nothing but 0 and 1-hitters anymore
that also is unacceptable
When tied going into the bottom of the ninth, it's always good to walk the leadoff man.
Dee did you see what he did there?
Lindblom looks like he's been eating at the Broxton buffet
pitching like it too
That was a spectacular implosion.
Glad I tuned in for that. Ugh.
*sigh*
this is Uribe's fault, right?
So we just got swept by the third-place team in the AL West.
So, one game lead going into SF?
i don't like this losing shit.
It's gotta stop
we are 3-6 since Uribe returned
FUCK!
FB ANNNNGRRRRYYY!!!
Fuck This Place I'm headed home. No more Dee please!
The ghost of Al Davis just sued me btw.
Well no extra innings, so my son's bedtime story will be about the man in blue who couldnt wouldn't shouldn't bunt.
David Vassegh said on Dodger Talk that Mattingly TOOK THE BUNT OFF on two strikes. Nice, Dee.
Still, Donnie, stop calling for it in the first place. In fact, stop using all that extra time trying to coach Dee in bunting. Have him work on slapping little hits like last Sunday. FAR more useful.
Balls! Balls, balls, balls.
Do we need to have a Players-and-SoSG-Readers-Only meeting in the clubhouse?
"God dammit we couldn't score in a brothel."
Comment of the game material right there.
GDMFPOSPGT up!
