OMG, Why Don't You Just Start a Kings Blog...

LA Times is featuring a Bob Miller-penned perspective on the Kings victory that, when I read it, yielded a curious - though familiar - turn of phrase uttered by Miller. Speaking in the final moments of the eventual Kings Game 6 victory, Miller said:
This is for you, all the players who have ever worn the Kings uniform and Kings fans wherever you may be. All the frustration and disappointment of the past are gone. The 45-year drought is over. The Los Angeles Kings are indeed the kings of the National Hockey League, the 2012 Stanley Cup champions.
"...wherever you may be..."

Where have we heard that before? If it was a reference or homage to Vinny's famous phrase, that's awesome. If it was coincidental, then it just means that the best commentators, no matter the sport, are consistent in their messaging. Either way, it's a great article so check it out.

Oh, and "I was at my local bar going crazy, Bobby!"
