Clayton Kershaw (5-3, 2.65) vs. Chris Sale (8-2, 2.05).
There will be a giant Sale tonight at Dodger Stadium, and I'm not talking about the fully-stocked Camacho's Nachos platter (don't get excited, Juan Uribe!). I'm talking about the 6'6" Chris Sale, who has gone 5-0 in his last five starts, four of which went at least seven innings deep. Not to discount that stretch, but I should note three of those wins were against the Twins, Mariners, and Astros. The White Sox lead the AL Central by 1.5 games over the Tribe.
Luckily, we're throwing Clayton Kershaw, who is 1-2 in his four starts since his CG SHO over the Cardinals May 19. I'm confident the Minotaur can closeout the Sox tonight. In fact, I'll confess I know what the outcome of tonight's game is, but I don't want to giveaway the result.

@truebluela: "Don Mattingly is wearing an air cast on his right elbow, for tennis elbow. He joked he got it from 'giving so many bunt signs.'"
Unfortunately the only one reading the signs is Dee Gordon
Is wearing an air cast like playing air guitar?

ManRam asks for release by A's, who grant it. He seems to be done.
God I hate that apostrophe.
I know an internet friend who spells it as As. It's super confusing.
"As the A's' World Turns: Manny Soap Opera Continues"
It officially has an apostrophe, so I'm just following what the team says it is. But dammit it bugs me. Technically, it's correct because it can be used to ensure a reader understands that it isn't "As" as in "as in".
Now the A's season is ruined!

It's time for Dodger baseball!
On the sofa, Vinny!
(pulls up a chair)
Apparently the A(')s weren't promoting Manny to the bigs and couldn't guarantee that they would, so he wanted to split.
Must mean he wasn't hitting for shit down there. Clearly I haven't researched this. But why else wouldn't they bring him up, if for no other reason to sell tickets?
Clayton!
shiiiiit
Eight pitches in and we're down 2-0.
Oh, bloody hell.
Mrs Dusty was just giving me shit bc we didn't plan to go to the game tonight. Now I'm giving her shit about being there and being immediately deflated after Donkey's HR.
Son of a nutcracker. I waited all day for this?
#CalmDownItsStillEarly
Having seen Kershaw for several years, I'm saying he does not look right. His velocity, command, movement, deception, etc. is just not there.
Donkey taketh, Donkey giveth
Herrera RBI makes it 2-1 White Sox.
@Dusty: Just tonight or this season?
re what Orel? Manny?
I'll be there tomorrow!
Then I have to drive right back!
*cries*
Or Kershaw?
@Paul
Drop a brother a line. We're the Dustettes and I are planning on being there tomorrow, too. Not sure where we're sitting yet.
O-Dog? I missed that news.
Per Eric at TBLA:
"There have been seven players who went by A.J. in major league history. Two are catching at Dodger Stadium tonight"
@Dusty
Will do. Not sure where I'll be sitting either. Getting free tickets from the White Sox, at will call. As Jamie Carroll said "It's a trap!"
Great little piece Vin just did on Harold Baines.
Walk this big fat fuck.
I liked Vin's line, "Alexei Ramirez and Dee Gordon must eat at the same restaurant."
Meanwhile, Vin continues to remind me of the Konerko deal. =/
Straight up for Jeff Shaw.
Jesus Colorado.
Sigh, another run =/.
Sorry, Dusty. I meant do you think Kershaw hasn't been right just tonight or all season?
Even Ned Colletti thinks the Konerko trade was a bad one.
I remember screaming at the Tv when Tommy traded Konerko. Well at least we have had power from the 1B position besides that...
@Orel
Obviously the beginning of his season was hard to stomach (sorry for that!), but after he got back on his feet, no, I think he's been off all season. He's just not dominant. Maybe hitters are figuring him out at this point in his career? Or, more likely, his foot injury is far more serious than he's letting on.

Come on, Dre. Let's get something started.
With two outs.
Like I said...
RBN, Spanky, Neeebs, Karina....where you at?
Skinny men going at it. It's like watching fly weight boxing.
Staining my white sox,Vinny!
Sorry Dusty. Just checking in to see what's up. Got the whole familia visiting. Gotta run.
Ok that's a decent excuse Spanky. RBN,you've got no excuse!
Giants leading the Mariners.
Clay's got nothing tonight. Nothing. 70 pitches now.
Clayton walks Becks. Two on for Dunn.
Uribe ween deep into that AB. He waited until the second pitch to meekly fly out.
went
Weak as kittens.
Pathetic effort. If we can't get a guaranteed win from Kershaw every fifth day we're cooked.
Dodger fans should just hibernate during Interleague.
Have I mentioned how much I Hate Uribe? It helps distract me from the very average 2012 Clayton Kershaw.
Clay's Cy Young year was all due to Rod Barajas.
It looks like a beautiful night weather wise.
@Paul
It was a perfect day today and tonight is just as nice.
Except it's imperfect because of the Dodgers' shitassed-ness.
At least Anaheim is losing 5-0 to the D-bags.
I like Gordon Beckham. He brings up memories of Fresno State beating Georgia in the CWS a few years back.
Which is also helping distract me from dwelling on this light hitting offense.
I've forgotten how bad we are at interleague play.
KCAL always runs ads where the Dodgers look like badasses on nights they play like garbage.
Delino reference from Vinny!
Keep repeating: The Angels are losing. The Angels are losing.
Sons on a 4-game losing streak at the Yard? No way.
Sit down Soupy Sales.
Looks like I picked the wrong day to stop snorting bath salts.
Robin Ventura had 18 grand slams. What four players had more?
I say Lou Gehrig, Manny Ramirez, Alex Rodriguez, and...
Urine ate that swing Vinny.
Just looked up the answer. I was right on those three.
Was a bit surprised by the fourth, but not all that surprised.
I'll take it.
Ted Williams? No Alex Cora.
It is not Urine.
Resurrect our offense, DeJesus!
Little base hit Of Jesus.
DeJesus saves!
Fuckin stop eating and start running Urine.
Knew we had to fit a failed bunt in there somehow.
Give Sales a chance to eat.
Serioulsy I was going to type I smell a bunt of disastrous
Porportions .
4-0 Gnats now.
@Paul
You just just develop a macro for that so you won't have to type it every night.
Next off day puzzle; how many Chris Sales can you fit in a broxton uniform.
2-1. that passes for working a count with us.
FUCK YEAH!!!!
Tied
I really like that No: 37!
So this is pretty unbelievable.
Parker Lewis can't lose, and neither can Kershaw tonight.
He could actually win.
Oh hell yes! 6-5 Blue Men!
Fuck yeah!!!
Wow! The lead!
This inning so far:

K

I wasn't expecting this and that is why I love baseball.
@Paul
Well, you were expecting a diabolically useless bunt.
Eddie Murray was the fourth grand slammer.
@Dusty
I also expect Stubbs to be drunk now. Somethings are certain.
I expected me to be drunk by now, too. I was wrong.
Was that Belly or that Lando's security dude on Cloud City.
Dusty, I thought you were at the game? Why are you getting commercials?
It's pitch dark - why the glasses, Belli?
Black Lobot?
@Orel
No I'm here on the sofa.
Going tomorrow night.
Okay maybe Belly was more of a Geordi La Forge but I am not a star trek guy.
Little Geico here would be great.
Hipster Bellisario?!?
@Orel
TMI
Come on, England!
Sorry, still pumped.
Well jesus colorado. There goes Clay's undeserved win.
Little help Dentist! Re: Belly
Huge applause for ABrew when he came out on deck.
Good slide, Dee.
Tie breaker is 90 feet away but w two outs.
Wild pitch gives up the go ahead run!!!! 7-6
Where'd everybody go? I feel like I'm back in jr high eating by myself at the corner table.
WTF just happened?
What a changeup!
SITDOWN!
Unbelievable. I truly thought we had no chance to win this game.
Make that Party!!!
Orel and I make party by ourselves!
AND PAUL! THreesome!
Great comeback win tonight
Unbelievable, improbable win. In the end, it's a W. No one said it had to be pretty.
I want some!
Four is better than three, Nomo!
*Makes party after everyone else leaves*
I'm still here drinking all the half empties.
Leave no man behind!
PGT finally up. Sorry about that, I hit some traffic.
