This is the first Grand Slam puzzle of the season, worth
150 points.
As the sun rose over the Trondheimsfjord, a scene of destruction and chaos greeted the staff and guests of the Scandic Solsiden Hotel. Edvard Lunde, the bartender, was weeping quietly in a pile of rubble that used to be the bar when Sussan Riis arrived at work.
"What happened here last night?"
"Bears," Muttered Edvard. "It was the bears."
"Bears broke in to the hotel?" she asked. Her eyes narrowed with suspicion. Surely this was a cover story.
"No," said Edvard, finally glancing up from his demolished stemware. "There was a marmot of some sort. He told us to let them in, and we trusted him. His name was Stoover."
Sussan saw no reason why this should be so, but there was nothing for it. "Well, we'd better start getting this mess cleaned up," she declared, to no one in particular. At that moment, Lars, the bellhop wandered past the bar entrance. Catching sight of her, he sprinted over, looking apoplectic.
"W...w...We've been robbed, as well!" he managed to get out. He handed her a list of the items that had been reported missing by the shell-shocked staff.
Stolen Items:
The shuttle driver's ATLAS
Three BATHROBES from room 206
An autographed Rosenborg BK John CHIBUIKE JERSEY
An entire case of DENTAL FLOSS from the store room
A package of EARPLUGS from Agnar's toolbox
A FONDUE FORK from the kitchen
A board GAME from the 3rd floor lounge
Dagfinn's HOTEL PARKING PASS
The INSTRUCTION MANUAL to the portable generator
Henning's prized JUSTICE LEAGUE #1 comic
A KAHLUA BOTTLE from the bar (pre-demolition, presumably)
Dafinn's LOCKET
Lillen's MERINO BLANKET
A dozen blank NOTEBOOKS from the concierge's desk
An OTTOMAN, also from the 3rd floor lounge
Sussan, Edvard, and Lars rounded up every employee they could find and agreed to fan out across the city to see if they could recover any of the stolen items, before they disappeared for good. With that, they followed the trail of debris out into the crisp Norwegian morning.
Hotel Staff (click to expand):
Agnar
Started at the statue of Olav Tryggvason, then searched the Science Museum. Then he checked the Trondheim Sentrum Postkontor. Later, Agnar had lunch at the Bari Cafe. While there, he remembered that bears like fish, so he headed north to the Sushi Bar on Munkegata, but ran into Lillen there instead. Neither had had much luck and it was getting late, so they walked along Fjordgata to get a pint at the Three Lions Pub and call it a day. To his surprise, he found the ________ in the men's room.
Aksel Kjartan Tieg
Aksel started at Lerkendal Stadium parking lot, walking counterclockwise around the perimeter before coming back to Klaebuveien and turning north. He then turned right on Gløshaugveien and headed east until the road turned back south. A bike rack on the corner had the ________ chained to it.
Astrid Elstad
Astrid started at Quality Hotel Augustin, then headed west to the Napoli Restaurant. She then went north to Holstveita, walked one block east, then north on Prinsens gate. At Dronningens gate, she turned left until she came back to St. Olav's gate. There, outside of the Bangkok Cafe, she spotted the _______ under a park bench.
Christian
Christian followed Lillen from the Statue Olav Tryggvason east along Kongens Gate, then north along Nordre Gate, detouring briefly west to walk one block down Sommerveita and back, just to be sure he wasn't closer than 100m behind, per the terms of the restraining order. He then continued north, then turned west onto Dronningens Gate until he got to the 7-eleven, where the janitor was cleaning up a demolished beef jerky display. When questioned, the man identified the perpetrators as furry and potentially ursine. They had left ________ behind in the confusion that followed the break in.
Christopher Holsen
Christopher Started at the Jordbaerpikene Torget and headed east on Earling Skakkes gate. He turned north on the Munkegata, then turned left on Kongens gate. A beleaguered looking concierge who was cleaning up broken glass and fish parts from the lobby of the Thon Hotel told him the vandals were seen heading east. He went back to the Munkegata on Kongens gate, walked north to Bunnpris, then west to Burning Heart Tattoo, where the manager returned the _______ to him, which was looking much worse for wear.
Dagfinn
Dagfinn started northeast from the Bakke bru bridge on Inherredsveien. At the roundabout, he turned north on Dyre Halses gate. Crossing the Nidelv Bridge, he saw the ________ dangling over the edge, and was just able to pull it back.
Edvard Lunde
Started at the Trondheim Kino and headed north to check in Brukbar. A waiter there said there had heard there was an incident at the Museum of Natural History late last night. He headed there (via Smedbakken) to discover that a security guard had spotted two bears trying to sneak into the museum after hours. Unfortunately he pulled his groin chasing after them and had to be taken to the Sirkulasjonsklinikken for treatment. He headed to the clinic on and interviewed the guard, who had found the __________ that the bears had dropped in their escape.
Gunnhild
Started at the Nattergallen Bar, then went to the Moods of Norway cafe. She went one block south on Nordre Gate, then turned West down Thomas Angells Gate to the Eplehuset Trondheim. A cashier there told her to check with the owner of the Norli Nordregate. When she got there, he told her he thought he saw them turn west and heading for the 7-eleven on Munkegata. She followed these directions and found _______ just lying on the sidewalk on the corner of Dronningens Gate and Jomfrugata.
Henning Handal Jr.
Henning started looking north from the Elgeseter bru bridge, getting as far as the Comfort Hotel Park, where a shell-shocked cabbie told him to check at the Jodiske Museum on Arkitekt Christies gate. The Curator said she saw two wild animals heading north on Sverres gate. He happened upon the _______ lying in the street in front of the Kalvskinnet skole.
Ingeborg Nylund
Started at the Cathedral and then walked north on Kjopmansgata all the way to the Brattorparken, then went east along the Fjordgata and checked in Restaurant Frida. As she was leaving she caught a glimpse of Agnar going towards the Three Lions with that tramp Lillen. She quickly crossed to the other side of the street and headed South to the Khao Thai Restaurant. She had no luck there, so she doubled back to Kjopmansgata to check in the Bakgarden Bar. On a hunch, she asked the at the coat check and discovered the _______ there.
Lars
Lars checked the Metro AS restaurant and searched west along Erling Skakes Gate. He turned right at Schultz gate, then right again at Var Frue Strete. He took the next two lefts and found the _______ inside the Var Frue Kirke.
Lillen
Started at the statue with Agnar, then walked all the way around the Stiftsgarden block to see if the bears might have been sightseeing. She arrived back at the statue with nothing to show for it, so, she headed up Munkegata to check Outland Trondheim. Saw Agnar going into the Sushi bar across the corner, then went with him to the Three Lions. While he was in the men's room, checked the lost and found on a hunch and discovered the ________.
Magdalena
Magdalena ran laps around the track at Sør-Trøndelag friidrettskrets to clear her head, then walked northwest along Klostergata. She walked all the way around the Nidarohallen parking lot, and just as she was about to turn north onto the pedestrian bridge, she spotted the ________ lying on the riverbank.
Sussan Riis
Sussan started at the Klinikk Stokkan, and headed South down Jomfrugata until she saw that creep Christian wandering down Dronningens Gate. She turned around and headed back north to Olav Tryggvasons Gate, went west for one block and turned north to check out the Big Horn Steak House. She checked with the kitchen staff, and one of the dishwashers had turned up the missing _______.
Vivian Tanberg
Vivian started at St. Olav's Hospital and headed south on Harald Hardrådes gate, then east on Einar Tambarskjelves gate. When she got to Elgeseter gate, she headed towards Sam's Pizza Grill. When she got there, she saw the _______ in the street. As she bent down to pick it up, the wind caught it, and she chased it north on Elgeseter gate, finally catching it outside of Bunnpris Elgeseter.

This IS the first half Grand Slam puzzle, worth 150 points. (main post updated).
If some of you feel like you don't have enough information, click on each hotel employee for information on where they searched.
If you did that and still feel like you don't have enough information, well, you'll have to wait for hints.

The streak is over!
1. BCCSweet
Damn. I wanted to be the one to end the streak.
Spank, you and streaking are nearly synonymous at this point.
Pretty educated guess sent.
Congrats BCCSweet! I knew the streak had to end sometime soon.
ubragg's guess makes good.

@ Stubbsy
heh. I didn't catch that when i wrote the comment.
@Spank
That's odd, because you and the catch (of the day) are also nearly synonymous, as well.

I'm heading in to a meeting. If anyone out there is working and needs a hint, send up a signal flare and I'll post one when I get back.
Thanks, ubragg! I had a slight advantage since I was born in Trondheim AND raised by bears.
Whoops, forget about that "answer sent" protocol. Glad to get back in this game.
I don't know what this is.
These bears are insane when they aren't humping in a tent.
Hint #1 posted!
@Quad
