As EK pointed out in the GT (9:12p), the Dodgers played like Argentina vs. Germany and were totally filleted by the Fish, specifically Marlins All-Star Josh Johnson (8.0 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 Ks). The only positive from this game was seeing Hiroki Kuroda bounce back from his last disappointing start to go seven innings with only one bad spot (a four-run inning in the second, mostly due to a Mike Stanton three-run HR). But unfortunately, that lapse cost us the game.
But rather than the World Cup-like result and metaphor, those of us watching the game saw an offensive lineup doing its best to emulate Garret Anderson (0-for-4 with 2 Ks, dropping his average to .182)--including even the streaking Rafael Furcal, who went 0-for-4 with one K, and Casey Blake, who went 0-for-4 with 3 Ks (James Loney had two of the team's six hits). We drop the series to the Marlins, lose no ground to the Padres but fall into a tie with the Rockies (who came back again on the Cardinals to steal another game) for second place.

On the upside, the MLB At Bat app for iPhone was updated.
Sorry, that's all I have.
what does the update do, DB?
Interactive stadium maps that show restroom locations! HOLY SHIT, iPHONE!!!
Another update?
Does it show the secret urinal room?
New At The Ballpark feature:
Check-in at the ballpark capability
Ballpark maps when you check in
Extra highlights of games in the park that you've checked in
More tie-ins w social media like Twitter
ASG and HR Derby tie-ins
Now, about that poor cell/data access at the games...
@db
I'm tellin' ya. 3rd base side gets the network love.
@Mr C
Totally.
On Brox bobble night, I sat way up high and on the 3B side, and I had smokin' fast data. Shitty seats, but I could post in the GT!
Right field was better last time but usually sucks.
Yay! They fixed the bug in the game summaries! Now it doesn't ask if I want to dial 1-234-56-789 when I tap on an inning number!
I missed the Stanton blast but just saw it on MLb Network recap. Did we know that it landed in a catcher's mitt in the home bullpen?
Mr C, I respectfully disagree on third base side AT&T cell coverage. I'm there often at field level, and some days it's on, others it sucks.
Sort of like Broxton. Just kidding!
Josh S, if they show the secret urinal rooms, they won't be as secret anymore
@sax
I've not had much good luck anywhere on the field level. Too much concrete interfering. Loge or above are ok.
Josh and I got decent Field Level reception a few weeks ago, but it was along the 3rd base line ad closer to LF.
It's probably more of a function of home many people are trying to access their phones at one time than anything else.
Maybe the signal can't pass through the thick pastrami packed into Canter's Deli's sandwiches
@ Sax
When they're open!
@DB, touche.
