The 2009 Dodgers vs Chipotle® Ingredients: Hear Me Out

Assuming you don't already do so, let's imagine a world where grams of carbs equates to Home Runs, and % of calories from fat is Batting Average.

Now, for those of you still with me, let's see how some top Chipotle® ingredients stack up with some key returning Dodgers (yes, this is real data from Chipotle®'s nutritional chart):

(click graph to enlarge)

With several 0.300 hitters but only two bats with over 20 HR's, the Chipotle® lineup is not without both virtues and challenges. Here's how my batting order would read:

Lineup
Spot
Ingredient

(% cal from fat)

(g carbs)
1
Barbacoa
0.353
2
2
Taco Shell

3

Barbacoa's high OBP is ideal for the leadoff spot, and Taco Shell's Jeter-like stats make for a great #2. Burrito Tortilla's power is my choice for the #3 spot, with Lime Rice's dangerous but whiff-prone bat offering protection in the cleanup spot. I'm sure some will argue for inverting the 3 and 4 hitters, but I say let's start off with this lineup and see how it goes. In the 5-hole I'd put Taco Tortilla, by virtue of his ability to hit for decent average and some power. Green Salsa, Steak, and Fajita Veggies round out the lineup, collectively hitting a solid 0.300 at the tail end of the order.

Would you bat them in a different order? Would you take this lineup over the Dodgers'? Do you think we've lost it completely? Let's hear it in the comments!

LF - yes, thankfully Chipotle®'s sponsorship has allowed us to scale back our jobs and spend more time doing what's important.

That's a nice lineup, but Chipotle McCourt refuses to pay for Lime Rice, instead opting for the cheaper Prune Rice.

The Coaches, Burrito Bowl and Mr. Foil, will have their hands full keeping this wild bunch of players working together this year.

See I told you it was a ploy to increase ad revenue based on web "hits".

........or maybe it's simply an April Fool's Prank.

Just like the Dodgers' lineup last year, I'm concerned about the output of the 6-7-8 holes.

Especially when you consider Chipotle when it "outputs." If you know what I mean.

Wow, what an excellent analysis! I agree with your lineup suggestions wholeheartedly...or should I say, with a full plate!

This could be the greatest thing ever.

Steak should be batting higher in the order. He's the real meat in the lineup.
