What a hockey puck! ;)
rumor has it that Shef has already gotten into a locker room fight with bobbles the cat.
:/
I don't get the Don Rickles reference, but okay.
They showed the Sheff highlight on DiamondVision tonight. Most people looked on with indifference, but I applauded. It's pretty impressive that he's only the 25th player to have 500 HRs.
The guy next to me pointed out that Sheff's 500 deserve an asterisk. Maybe so, but I still recall when he was a Dodger, he had one of the most discriminating eyes at the plate, even in pressure situations. And that bat speed was ferocious.
Congrats, Gary.
Saxy Boy, all you have to do is ask. Don Rickles, aka Mr. Warmth, notorious temperamental grump. Not unlike Sheffield.
To put an asterisk on him would be to put an asterisk on EVERYONE who hit more than 100 home runs during the 90s/00s.
Congrats Shef. Asterisk or not, he hit a lot of HRs. Plus, no one waggled the bat better than him. I think he had the most homeruns with the dodgers too.
