Good Luck, Pee Wee

From Tony Jackson:

Delwyn Young traded to Pirates

dodgers will get two players to be named later, presumably minor leaguers. I assume DY will be placed on the Pirates' active big-league roster. This can only good for DY, who might not play every day but should at least get more playing time than he would with the Dodgers. Plus he and Andy LaRoche are good friends from their Dodgers days.

Just 54 weeks ago, Young was on top of the Dodger world. Now he's a Pirate, and hopefully that'll be a better fit. Sad to see him go, although it seems Dodger management couldn't figure him out: He wasn't given much of a chance to start, yet he didn't have that veteran experience they crave in a bench player. Nonetheless, Young had a good sense of humor about it all (even in rookie hazing drag). Have fun with Andy in Pittsburgh, DY!

54 weeks ago. I remember it like it was yesterday.

I'm bummed to lose Delwyn, but hopefully we'll start re-stocking the farm. Fare the well, Delwyn!

I've got $5 that says Fred's Brim copied and pasted.

I just hope he doesn't become one of those Dodgers that goes to another team and becomes a star. But Delwyn deserves to be treated with respect. Such a great talent gone to waste in LA. Hope he comes back to LA and just owns them.

Yep, I'm a bit hurt by the move. :(

Is it just me or does it seem like they just gave him away?
