Randy Wolf (0-1, 6.75) vs. Dan Haren (0-1, 1.29).
COMMENTS: Did you catch the Aflac trivia question on yesterday's television broadcast? 1955 was the last time the Dodgers started six different pitchers in the first six games of the season—and we all know what happened in 1955. Joe Torre, you genius!
One game before the Dodgers' home opener, the team finds itself at .500 with some things to be happy about...some, not so much. The good: 11 runs in yesterday's game, a heroic spot-start by Eric Stults and great overall defense. The not-so-good: question marks in the starting rotation and bullpen, and an offense (26 team walks vs. 34 team strikeouts) still trying to find its rhythm. (If the Dodgers score another 11 runs today, disregard that last part.)
Both the Dodgers and Diamondbacks are seeking their first series win today. Need we remind you that Opening Day at Dodger Stadium will be that much brighter with a winning record?
(Oh, and one more thing: No matter what you do, DON'T listen to post-game DodgerTalk on 790 KABC
between 5 and 6 p.m. at 6:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m. You'll be glad you didn't!)
