HAPPY CASIMIR PULASKI DAY EVERYBODY!!!!
And Tammy Faye Bakker!
let's get this party started
argh! No radio or television broadcast option on AtBat11
Gameday it is
Lilly has 1 K and 0 H after two innings
Casey Blake with the game's first hit
Ubaldo/Lilly living up to all the hype folks.
How is this for an imposing front end to our lineup
Furcal, .167
Blake, .125
Ethier, .071
Lilly having more trouble in the third. One run already in (leadoff double followed by a single), still men at the corners with two out
whoops make that three out, Barajas to Furcal CS
Colorado with three hits in the third.
1-0 Rox after three
Strike em out throw em out
1-0 Rox end of 3rd
The lineup has to improve, I'm being patient...
Sax wins race to scoreboard. Getting a sandwich...
@PPR
Probable line-up for the sandwich?
Your basic turkey + cheddar + tomato + lettuce + mayo on wheat roll with Cool Ranch Doritos.
The missionary position of sandwiches.
I need to go for sandwiches more often... we scored... coincidence?????
Gimenez singles, takes second on a WP, and scores on a Juan Uribe double in the fourth inning (all with two out).
That's one-run Dodger baseball for you!
1-1 in the fifth
@Pistol Pete Reiser 1:08p: I'm more of a provolone guy myself. Maybe havarti, too.
Not so much with the cheddah.
Sharp cheddar, not that mild crap.
Hot-sister-guy gets us out of the inning.
Hawksworth allows a two-out triple to Gomez in the bottom of the fifth.
Greg Reynolds grounds to short to end the threat
1-1 through five
Leadoff single by Andre Ethier; here comes Tony Gwynn Jr to PH. One out, thanks to Blake's leadoff K (Casey Blake is now batting .111).
@Pistol Pete et al: We Sons are big cheese fans.
Kemp pops to short on the first pitch, two out
Gwynn steals second! Way to go, Lopes!
suddenly
my
gameday
is
moving
really
slowly
@ Sax 1:40
Does that really qualify as cheese?
RIP Gameday.
5-1 good guys?
Jerry Sands is playing his way onto first base, folks...
holy shit we scored four runs in an inning? let me read the recap
Trayvon with a leadoff double to right field
XP sac bunt and reaches on an error, Robinson to third
Jerry Sands busts out a three-run HR
Eugenio Velez walks and steals second
DeJesus sacs Velez to third, one out
Ellis forgets he's Ellis and singles Velez home
Gwynn Jr. singles Ellis to third and takes second, still only one out
Sellers and Redding pop out in foul territory, each on the first pitch, for the final two outs (with two RISP).
Four runs in one inning? UNBELIEVABLE
tim redding's gameday picture has a rodent hanging from his chin
@ Sax 2:32.
Saw that. Squiggied my monitor, it was still there.
A HR and a three-bagger.
Jerry Sands... hope of the future.
XP HR! 6-1 Dodgers
(Jerry Sands also triples with one out, but we can't score him.)
Pistol Pete, it looks like it's just you and me here. How was that sandwich, by the way?
@Pistol Pete, wanted to make sure you saw this post, an oldie-but-goodie from 2008.
One might think of this as an aged cheese post.
@Pistol Pete: just wondering, is your favorite Dodger this year going to be Ivan DeCheeses?
Kinda unsatisfying. Ya gotta get the tomato and the mayo together, the nice old lady that made my sandwich sometimes doesn't get that. It's important, though.
This offensive explosion is truly unexpected.
@ Sax 2:43.
I can't believe no one commented on that posting. Slackers. Could have at least thrown out the "like I could buy all this cheese" line from the lottery commercial. No one posted "OK, who cut the cheese?"
@ Sax 2:45
No sir, Jerry Sandswich.
OK, who cut the cheese?
we go to the ninth
the dodgers actually have a 6-1 lead
Dodgers eke out another run (Ellis single, reaches second on a throwing error, then gets two sacs to come around to score).
7-1 going to the bottom of the ninth baby
kenley is making quick work of the rox in the ninth
two out, the second of which was a three-pitch K
two-out double, but now it's allllll over
DODGERS WIN 7-1
Cheese for everybody!
