How bad was the third? 3 errors and only 1 run is hard to do!
Top of the third in yesterday's game:
1 Alexei Ramirez reaches on throwing error by shortstop Justin Sellers. Ramirez to second.
2 Brent Morel grounds out on a comebacker to Clayton Kershaw, Ramirez to third. One out.
3 With Juan Pierre batting, throwing error by Dioner Navarro, and on the pickoff attempt, Ramirez scores.
4 Slappy McPopup reaches on a bunt ground ball to Kershaw. McPopup advances to second on a throwing error by Minotaur.
5 Gordon Beckham grounds to second, McPopup takes third. Two out.
6 Adam Dunn Ks on three straight swinging strikes. Three out.
Where my dawgs at?
Wotcher!
Listening to MLB Radio on XM this morning during my commute, I noted a particularly useless Spring Training Assessment Phrase that I wanted to relay.
"Brandon Wood could really be an X factor this season."
Translation: we have no clue whether he will ever make contact with a baseball again, or if he'll win the triple crown, but probably the former.
Except AL pitchers, I suppose. But yeah.
"One x-factor is hitting. The other x-factor is pitching." -Joe Morgan
"...if he can stay healthy..." always bugs the shit out of me.
Hey, even AL pitchers have to hit in June and October.
Is the final x-factor fielding, I'm guessing?
And there it is.The first Joe Morgan namedrop of the season. Now I can rest in eternal sleep. Thanks Mr.F.
Hot dawg!
GAARP retires!
A year too late!
Still enough reason to make party!
Epale everyone!
So, Carrasco is a potential star and Bills is on the mound, interesting game...
I'd like to give a special shout out to GAARP because if it wasn't for him we would have no......well..GAARP.
from @Dodgers: "Bottom 1st, Tony Gwynn Jr. (via Rafael Furcal) throws out Carlos Santana at home to end the inning"
If there's one thing the Dodgers know how to do, it's throw out Santana.
#santanabaiting
(cries)
Dodgers are losing 1-0.Alright..WooHoo...Lates.
bottom of the fifth, two out with a man on first for the Tribe, who lead 1-0.
Barajas is the only guy with a hit, in 15 ABs for the Dodgers. Get used to this, people.
Jamie Hoffman leads the dodgers in 2011 spring training BA, at .600
Over under on Dodger shutouts this year?
wonderful. de la rosa has the bases loaded here now, still B5, with Shin Soo Choo up
@Paul: you mean, games in which the Dodgers are shutout?
@Sax
Yes. Sorry for ambiguity. I wouldn't want people to think I was thinking about positive outcomes.
Russ Mitchell almost blows the play at first base fielding the grounder, but recovers in time to get us out of the fifth.
1-0 Tribe after five.
three up three down for the dodgers in the sixth
get used to it, people
Just remember the Giants finished first in the Cactus league last year. IT MATTERS.
Not really. Cleveland finished second. Texas finished last.
Over under on how many games before I start accidentally posting in an old game thread....
I say 5.
I say 4, Paul.
Again I ask: Who the fuck are Man United???
Over under on how many games before we start cursing blogger?
1?
Man United? Isn't that religious group for dudes that wear sun hats and visors?
I think Karina already had a go at Blogger the other day, in fact.
Over/under on how many over/under jokes we attempt?
@ Dusty re:Who are Man United?
A new sports franchise in Frisco?
Jerry Sands, ladies and gentlemen!
solo HR = 1-1 tie
man on second with none out and Ramon "I'm Not Martinez" Colon pitching for the blue
Ramon "I'm not Bartolo, either" Colon
Blogger hates me all these days, is anyone else getting the mysterious frog image on the header and the right column? is Blogger excessively slow for anyone else? does it lose your comments?
:(

:(
There are frogs?
Frogger
DAMMIT, Spank. I was going to go there with Frogger.
Gabe Kapler's banana-hammock made a distinct swishing noise over the radio feed.
2-1 Indians, end of eight
Random Distraction:
SPIDER-PANTS!

Anyone seen Andre Ethier?

Thanks, Colon, for WP the winning run in!
@Josh S 2:51, nice pants
Colon blow.
*dodges cars*
*jumps on logs*
*eats fly*
I need a Colon-ic.
Expanding on my "Where is Andre Ethier?" question, he's now 0 for 6 with 2 Ks in 3 games.
So, season over, basically.
Pack it in, folks.
Nothing to see here! Move along.
Pack it up, pack it in/
Let me begin
*gets up to get up and get down*
