The 2010 Kia Sorento handles great, by the way. At least mine do.

EK, did you check out the Yo Gabba Gabba shout out in the Biz Markie video (posted last week re: Matt Kemp and Rihanna)? That was for you, baby.

Steve Sax said...

(By the looks of this comment thread, i'm thinking this whole Kia Crew thing is more funny to us Sons than to any of our readers.)

(Not that that has ever stopped us before.)

Eric Karros said...

I think maybe the SoSG readership is intimidated by the Kia Crew.

Orel said...

Dead horse? What dead horse?

Eric Karros said...

BTW Sax, I hadn't watched that Biz Markie video until just now. I've been too busy watching the Kia ad.

I like those literal videos too. I assume you've seen the a-ha one?

@EK,

Who are we to step to Muno and Mr. X?

Eric Karros said...

Mr C: the Kia Crew are actually more approachable than you might think given their popularity. Except Robot. A lot of awkward silences with that one.

Eric Karros said...

Interestingly, Muno and Robot seem to have switched seats in the two photos.

Interesting to me, that is.

The Kia Soul Hamsters are getting jealous.

Eric Karros said...

"Soul Hamsters suck!"

Orel said...

IT'S ON

Eric Karros said...

I don't see the Soul Hamsters hot-tubbing with bikini hotties or doing waterski flips.

Orel said...

That's because they're too busy totally being trailblazers.

Kia Crew >>> Soul Hamsters

Eric Karros said...

The F-man knows where it's at.

Orel said...

Et tu, Fanerman?

Mr. Customer said...

The Soul Hampster's got not thumbs! How are you going to pull chicks without any thumbs, huh?

Advantage --> Crew

Orel said...

Soul Hamsters don't need no stinkin' thumbs.

Eric Karros said...

Actually, of the Crew I think only Muno has thumbs.

But the fact that they can still pull chicks sans thumbs (or at least Teddy and Sock Monkey can, based on existing footage) solidifies their awesomeness.

But it also raises the question about the bowling scene - were the other 4 just sitting around watching Muno bowl?

Eric Karros said...

Feel free to verify or refute my findings by reviewing the only known footage of the crew.

Orel said...

Muno may have thumbs, but he lacks fingers.

Mr. Customer said...

Sock Monkey and Robot appear to have implied thumbs. Not so much for Teddy and Mr. X.

Still, that's between 2 and 6 more opposable digits than the cumulative world hamster population.

Orel said...

But hamsters got soul.

Eric Karros said...

Actually, Robot may have thumbs. You make the call.

Eric Karros said...

While I was putting together that diagram of Robot, Mr C beat me to it.

Not sure about Sock Monkey though. I give Robot a thumbs yes and Sock Monkey a thumbs no, so to speak. Sock Monkey sure can hang onto that jetski pretty well though.

Orel said...

Actually, none of the Kia Crew has fingers. Really makes you wonder how that bowling trip went.

@EK 1:33p: Yeah, I've seen the a-ha one (excellent/A+), the Tears for Fears one (B+), the Total Eclipse of the Heart one (B-), the White Wedding one (C), the James Blunt one (B but the guy's voice is so frickin' awful and he swallows the punchline ending, so D+). And the Billie Jean one (B).

Any others?

@Sax - Pipe wrench fight!

But you missed possibly the most bizarre one, David Hasselhoff's Hooked On a Feeling

Eric Karros said...

I saw a Monkees one which was so-so and Love is a Battlefield which was better.

Steve Sax said...

Oh yeah, and the Penny Lane one (F, worthless).
