Oh my God, why don't you start a Super Bowl blog and report their news on that blog.

i actually don't mind either team for the first time in a long, long time. There are no Pats, Steelers or Cowboys for miles around!

From Adam Wilson, editor of weekly newspapers in Altoona and Indianola, Iowa, via Twitter:

Breaking news: LA Dodgers third baseman and Indianola (Iowa) native Casey Blake tells me he'll probably play this season without the beard.

Dusty Baker said...

That is horrible news, MLASF. "Jaw Mode" doesn't work. Hopefully he'll have a very early season slump and decide he needs the beard.

To quote myself in a recent Tweet, they're going to need a whole 'nother bus, b/c that Saints bandwagon sure is getting full.

Dusty checking in. Thx for the GT.

I'm all over this Puppy Bowl and about to crack my first Sam Adams Noble Pils. Geaux team with pugs on it!

Go Saints! But I'm not going to watch this game. I d rather nap.

Mr. LA Sports Fan said...

But Sax, what about the commercials? We need a Son to moderate our witty remarks about a guy getting a Bud Light in the nads.

^ HAH! Nice one MLASF.

If I were a Colts fan, I'd really be rolling my eyes and getting annoyed at what seems to be an overwhelming amount of pro-Saints hype. In fact, I am rolling my eyes and getting annoyed, and I'm a neutral in this.

That guy who does Jack's voice for Jack in the Box commercials - dude must be set for life.

If your a Saints fan (which I am), you're getting pretty sick of people gushing over Peyton Manning and saying that he's just too good to contain. Because Peyton can play all 11 positions on offense and defense.

Over/under on number of times the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" will be played.

I say six.

Snickers commercial: awesome
Bud Light: not so much

These commercials haven't been too hot.

I'm trying to get free pants. The website is getting destroyed.

Betty White for the win.

I like how they have Abe Vigoda singing with the Who. Excellent marketing from Snickers.

Wait, that's not Abe Vigoda? Then who the hell let a retirement village play at halftime?

Eric Karros said...

MLASF, are you saying Peyton can't retun kickoffs?

I like that Google commercial.

Nic j said...

Didnt see that coming.

Hopefully saints fans dont become as lame as red sox fans now that they arent losers anymore.

Im guessing they will though.

Whom is that, who makes mention of out dueling the Saints in a gridiron contest?

Daltrey's "YEAHHHHH" was pretty good. The only thing it was really missing was a David Caruso one-liner.
