Great news for those of you who are fans of the Selig Shrug (as we Sons are): the Brewers are voluntarily vandalizing Miller Park by building a statue of Bud Selig outside the park:
Selig headed a group that bought the Seattle Pilots in bankruptcy court in 1970, moved the franchise to Milwaukee and renamed it the Brewers. He became acting commissioner in 1992 and took the job full-time six years later, turning control of the team over to his daughter, Wendy Selig-Prieb. The Selig family sold the team to a group headed by Mark Attanasio in 2005.MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers are erecting a statue of baseball commissioner Bud Selig outside Miller Park and will unveil it on Aug. 24.
Selig's statue will be added to the other bronzed Brewers, Hank Aaron and Robin Yount. And when I think Aaron and Yount, I definitely think about honoring the man whose legacy will be the steroid era and All-Star Games that end in a tie.
And guess who the Brewers are playing on August 24? Batter up, Dodger fans!

That this clown was immortalized as a statue before the esteemed Vin Scully is a travesty.
The differene is that Vin has enough class to refuse the gesture while he's still going strong and still living.
