Russell Martin said he weighs 231 pounds; he said he weighed 206-207 pounds when he reported to camp last year.Martin said he lifted more this off-season because he wanted to add muscle.
Martin said he thinks he looks "like a fullback." He still does yoga but has cut down.

Dudes, that shot of Russ makes me less confident. He looks fat.
Recall that it's common for catchers to report to ST with a lot of bulk, as they lose so much of it during the grueling season behind the plate.
Martin's power isn't the problem, it's his accuracy. I'm worried he's still going to take bad hacks, only harder.
Specifically, hitting it really hard but right at the SS shouldn't be the preferred method for J-Mart.
