Random Stats on the Surging Dodgers

The Dodgers are the only team in the majors to be undefeated at home (6-0), an honor which will last until at least April 30, when they return to Chavez Ravine to play the Padres.

The Dodgers are the only team in the majors to have at least twice as many runs scored (82) as runs allowed (40). Even 11-1 Florida, whose seven-game win streak is second only to the Dodgers', has a run differential of only +32.

The Dodgers have two players in the National League's OBP top 10: Manny Ramirez (#4, .491), and Orlando Hudson (#9, .467). The Nationals and Cubs also have two in the top 10, which given the Nats' 1-10 record makes you think that this may not be all that telling.

Matt Kemp, Hudson, and Andre Ethier are all in the top 10 for Total Bases in the NL, with 34, 33, and 29 respectively (Raul Ibanez leads the league with 38). No other team has three players in the top 10 in this category.

You want WHIP? Clayton Kershaw leads all of MLB with a 0.67 WHIP. Chad Billingsley is 13th in the majors and sixth in the NL with a 0.95 WHIP.

I'll try to update this with more info later on in the day.

Ethier also leads the NL with 16 RBIs (tied with the majors lead with Markakis).

Ethier apparently also leads the league in dissing fans who want their picture taken with him.

But since he also leads the league in restaurant reviews, we may give him a pass.

he also leads the league in pumpkin seeds eaten and tantrums thrown, just barely edged out zambrano on that last one.

ps did the cubs ever pay to fix that water pipe in the visitors dugout after the NLDS?
