Dodgers.com reports that Jason Schmidt is playing catch:
"He made 40 throws of 50 to 60 feet and he did fine," said trainer Stan Conte. "It's not anything to get too excited over. We'd be more excited if there was a problem, which he didn't [have]."ATLANTA -- Disabled Dodgers right-hander Jason Schmidt played catch Friday for the first time since being sidelined with shoulder bursitis after his April 14 start.
Conte went on to discuss how Juan Pierre likes playing cards with Luis Gonzalez, Nomar Garciaparra is more of a dominoes guy, and Andre Ethier prefers Loco Roco on the PSP. Rafael Furcal is a canasta man, Russell Martin loves tiddly winks, and Brad Penny likes that game where you slap the face-down palms of the other guy (he is apparently undefeated). Jeff Kent just likes going out, lining up bottles on a fence, and shooting at them.
