Post-Game 35 Thread: Ethier Slams A HR, Padilla Slams The Door

DODGERS 4, METS 2

The Dodgers actually won a game today, saving Sax's Mets shirt for another sacrifice on another day. Andre Ethier, who hit a two-run HR in the top of the seventh, stretched his consecutive-game hitting streak to one. And Vicente Padilla came in in the ninth with a 4-1 lead, and let Jose Reyes triple in a run before causing Carlos Beltran to fly to right, and blowing David Wright away with a K to secure the win (and earn the save).

At least the Dodgers won today. If I were you, I wouldn't flip over to ESPN right now.

Enjoyable time at the yard today. I like it when the Dodgers win. We should do it more often. Keep grindin!

How long has ESPN had this live strike zone overlay? Not sure how I feel about it. (And if they've had it for a while, why have I never noticed it?)

Weird. Now they're not using it. Maybe it was a fever hallucination.

Yeah, after you said that I was looking for it but it never appeared again.

"For six months, the Lakers' third time was a charm.

On Sunday, it resolutely and reprehensibly crumbled into a curse.

The expectations were too heavy. The distractions were too large. The bodies were too weary. The heart was too faint."

Distractions! Take a drink!
