My inner conspiracy theorist thinks he tanked on purpose because he hated not being closer anymore. Of course, if that were true, he would have sucked right away.

So we're down Flat Breezy, Tron Tron, and Belli. Now we not only need starting pitching but also a couple of relievers.

This thing's gonna go south, isn't it?

I thought Flat Breezy liked LA.

You could say we've been down the first two all season. Even Belli hasn't really been the Belli of 2009. I have faith in MonsterCheerios and T-Slick. I liked what I've seen from Link. Now, we just need Joe to have the same level of faith in those guys.

I think BB King sang about this happening.

Why can't we put GAARP on waivers tambien. Might as well clean out all the muck.

I definitely don't like having Kuo as the only lefty. Our only other options are Elbert and Leach. I think I'd take Leach over Elbert at this point, though neither guy's ABQ numbers are stellar.

Can we jettison Justin Miller for Kenley Jansen?

House cleaning time.

Anderson should be following suit.

Any guesses on when that will happen?

July 30? Sooner?

Do we even have Elbert as an option yet? It thought he was AWOL.

@Mr. C: Crap! I forgot about that. The most recent news I can find about him is a month old.

Maybe Jansen gets the call.

The writing was on the wall for this for a while. When they guy makes just one pitch and gets the hook, he's not exactly in the team's good graces.

My question is, if the team is just jettisoning dead weight, when the hell is GAARP going to take the midnight train to Georgia?

Dear Hiroshima Carp,

Hi! Remember when we sent you a promising young pitcher with lots of determination and a decent slider. Well, we kinda need him back.

Please? Pretty please with uni on top?

Your friends in beisabol,

The Los Angeles Dodgers.

P.S. We got this guy named Sherrill. You'll love him.

I wish George would have put it together but he has sucked since the post season last year.

I think this is physical thing that George is in denial about.

I agree, Paul. I know he's not the youngest guy in the park, but I can see a situation where he's cut outright, "realizes" he's hurt, get's Tommy John or shoulder surgery or whatever and comes back with the Braves late next year and is lights out again

@FB

You left out the last, most important step: He comes back to pitch exceptionally well against the Dodgers' hitters.

Fred's Brim said...

How could I forget that?

and then the Yankees will overpay for him the next year and he will suck again
