Via SoSG regular Dusty Baker, here's a shot of the Dodgers' program (read: advertising circular) that they are distributing at the parking lot ticket booths, upon entry to the Stadium:
At first, I just thought that the Dodgers were trying to save money by using black and white photography. But it seems that this whole novelty of having the Dodgers' coaching staff wear suits is indeed the image on the 60's night giveaway poster being distributed at the May 7 game:
I don't mean to disparage the Dodgers coaching staff, but I don't think this poster is going to be adorning the walls of many seven-year-olds' rooms on the morning of May 8. If the goal was to commemorate the 1960's, I would have gone with Manny Ramirez, photoshopped into a mop-top haircut (but I suppose we're already screwing with Manny's image enough given the action figure giveaway planned for July 22).
And since when are suits germane specifically to the 1960's, anyway? Haven't men worn suits (and played pool) all along?

The whole "Playbill" thing...surely the reference is lost on most who pass through the gates? (And that's not a cut on such folks.)
When I first heard they were doing a Rat Pack themed poster, I was stoked. Then I found out it was the coaching staff, most of whom I don't know on sight alone, and I was...not stoked.
They didn't even have a program to hand out on Opening Day.
@DB: possibly so; the Dodger Stadium crowd might not be theatre-goers...

I couldn't find Opening Day commemorative pins on (wait for it!) Opening Day. However, I finally found a stash at Saturday's game. Right where I looked before on Opening Day. Either they sold out then got some more later, or they didn't get them in until just recently, not in time for actual Opening Day.
Still pretty cool and in response to Steve's question about suit wearin' and playing pool, I think part of the equation is that that particular combination isn't really in vogue anymore. I don't find too many dudes in a 3 piece hustling people at the pool hall (though invariably, the hustlers tend to BE in 3 piece suits...)
