This Isn't The Jones You're Looking For

When you see the words "Jones", "Las Vegas", and "plates" in the same headline, you're thinking what I'm thinking, right? Our favorite $36M man must be rehabbing at the all-you-can-eat-buffet! Well, almost. Check out "Jones plates six for Las Vegas", from mlb.com:

It was only his ninth game of the season, but Mitch Jones has quickly gotten into the swing of things.

Jones homered twice and drove in a season-high six runs as the Las Vegas 51s outslugged the Salt Lake Bees, 12-9, at Cashman Field.

The 30-year-old right fielder whacked a two-run shot in the second inning and hit a solo shot in the third. He then tripled in the fifth and ripped a three-RBI double in the eighth to cap his night, falling only a single shy of the cycle.

Whoops, sorry there Mitch! If you can shift over to center field and gain a couple of pounds, we may even be able to reuse the jerseys! (Though I have to say, from the looks of that photo, that is one hell of an awkward home run swing. Your bat speed must be incredible.)

Thanks to SoSG AC for pointing this story out, despite the fact that he's swiping wifi service off of his unwitting neighbor's network...
