So it turns out the Dodgers got jobbed by Tim Welke in yesterday's game against the Rockies. I wasn't watching the game on tv, so I was shocked to see this horrible call on Deadspin (with video). Yep, Jerry Hairston looks out to me!
Nice job, Tim Welke.
UPDATE 9:03a: Welke's Gaffe (TM) now picked up by Yahoo Sports.

Hairston was apparently quoted as saying that he was so sure he was safe that when the out was called, he just assumed it had occurred at a different base. Even Helton told the ump that he was off the bag.
Jobbed.
I saw it and thought it was pretty funny. Mattingly came out to argue and I thinK that since Welke knew that he screwed up that he wouldn't throw out mattingly just on principle.
