Billingsley (2-2, 3.32 ERA) vs. Miley (3-1, 2.76 ERA)
So far, the Dodgers have not been hurt by their slow metamorphosis into the Albuquerque Isotopes, mainly because their starting pitching has been so damned good and that there were two guys in the lineup that were swinging enough stick to make up for the others (no disrespect to either Ellis). Now, it appears that we will be one monster short for the immediate future. The team conjured up enough offense without their superstar center fielder last night when two Sons were in attendance, so we're upping the ante tonight by sending
As for our usual opposing-pitcher-shtick, poking fun at a guy named Miley is almost too easy to be considered sporting, so I'll just ask this: Care to try your luck against our Billings, Montana?
Note: This will also serve as your Kings vs. Coyotes Game 2 Thread. Between the Dodgers and Kings, it's California 2, Arizona 0. Let's make it 4-0, shall we?
UPDATE (from Orel): From @THEREAL_DV, a picture of the Dodgers' show of support for the Kings during BP:

We are two monsters short. The other one is Cookie Monster.
Gordon 6
Mellis 4
Van Slyke 9
Ethier 8
Ajellis 2
Sands 7
Loney 3
Sellers 5
Billingsley 1
DAMMIT.
No thank you, Marla.
I'll be in Reserve 22 tonight, wearing a Kenley Jansen tee.
I'm the worst whore in the world.
Well, second behind that senator in the airport bathroom.
Gotta fly. Got some commutin' to do before I can head to the park. (The sad thing is, I'm closer to the park NOW than I am from home.)
Now that is a spring training-looking lineup if I've ever seen one.
It would also form an anagram for "beg selves" which seems appropriate.
Tickets bought! RS32, Row B. Nomo, want to grab a beer?
Sons' body count updated.
@Orel - They made you buy a ticket? I assumed you'd get in free since you're throwing out the first pitch tonight.
Van Slyke AND Sands getting their inaugural starts tonight, then?
Just trying to represent the people, Steve.
Nobody mentions Ethier starting in center?
He did that last year, right? During the All-Star Game?
The only time he did that.
Doesn't Van Slyke play some center?
Four Sons vs. The Streak.
Doesn't Uribe play some center?
Van Slyke has played CF exactly twice, so while technically correct, it's still a bit of a stretch.
Doesn't Orel play some center?
The only center Uribe is qualified for is creme-filled.
This thread is going to Helena hand-basket.
Someone mention Montana?
How about Hannah?
Even with the oblique reference, the Miley-Montana connection has already polluted the banner ads.
This Son is also at a MLB game tonight...but sadly, it's not at the Ravine.
Represent, brethren!
Juan "double stuff" Uribe
Love it.
Speaking of obliques, how is Uribe?
Where is everybody?!?!
I'm in section god damn 55 (reserve), representing Master of the House - Orel!
I feel bad for everyone in that section.
Go Kings, go!
Watching the Kings Vinny!
@Stubby: Remember we Party in the USA Miley style with a victory.
Master of the House is in the house. Awesome video tribute and huge crowd welcom e for Bulldog. Top class, Dodger production crew!
Wow, Upton has been bad this year.
Lyle Overbay still plays baseball?
1-0 Kings in the 2nd
2-0 now!
Woot!
Right on Kings. Phoenix on the ropes!
Old Man Ellis aboard!
SVS up with a man aboard.

Not only is Lyle Overbay still playing baseball, he's somehow excelling at it.
DAMN YOU, AJELLIS, DAMN YOU.
epale everyone!
rancho ardiendo of the bad kind :(
Harumph.
God damn, Dusty, why you always so far away?
3-0 KINGS
Just about a minute left in the second.
It's second intermission, and the Kings lead the Coyotes 3-0.
Fernandomania <3
I wonder how it feels to have lived that. I hadn't even been born and I get goosebumps when people mention it.
Thanks,Marla. I went deep into that dark ,cold place on the interwebs and found the game. Now I'll be going deep into that dark, cold place we call Neeebs' Mom.
When you get there, tell Hasselhoff he still owes me $50.
Spank is a resourceful mother!
and epale, yall!
a noodly Kugel grounds out
nice recovery, Chad, you infuriating SOB
The Angels fire their hitting coach, Mickey Hatcher.
Hatcher hit two home runs in the '88 World Series.
So it begins.
I'm half expecting Scioscia to get the boot if the Angels continue to tank.
SVS with men on the corners!
My whoring is at an exceedingly high rate tonight.
I went to the two playoff games in 2004 and was sitting in the right field corner for game 4. There was a bit of a commotion a section away and it was Mickey arriving in his seats with a buxom blonde on his arm. He was grinning ear to ear
Marla, you're a whore with a heart of gold
fudge
@FB - That's the one piece of gold I never gave Josh Macciello.
good try, Dee
Is Macciello going to try to buy the Padres now?
Dee with a double play dance!
I don't think Macciello can afford a prayer at this point.
eep Dre gets hit
AJ's trying to hit like a 5-hitter instead of doing what he was doing before
Miley works fast with nobody on base
This lineup is really underwhelming.
Who is Chad going to hit?
"Who is Chad going to hit?"
The showers, if he keeps this up.
I hope the ghost of Kuo's ligaments haunts your ass, o'parra!
You can do better, Chad!
The Coyotes are playing really dirty considering it's only the second game.
Chad was voting on what tattoo Sellers was going to get after the game
cripes
This may be painful.
4-0 Kings. Carter gets the hat trick.
Sheet
Dee at least saved one run on that dive.
^for Chad, not Carter
hell
I'm perfectly satisfied with a 1-1 finish against Arizona teams tonight.
Oh, balls.
Is anyone up in the bullpen?
christ on a bike
how is Chad our fifth best starter?
in the rotation I mean
Chad's still better than Harang.
What does Jamey Wright need to do to get a chance?
that's a joke
so is this game
gnite, all
5-2-3 double play. Just how they drew it up.
1:46 left. I think they got this one.
Kings win1 2-0! 2-0!
Kings win, ya'll. Got my tix for Game 3. Woohoo!
Shit. This isn't what I was hoping for when I switched over. What happened to Chad CincoOcho?
Andre!
Mellis power!
That's a start!
Sands is the tying run.
I can smell where this is going.
So much for Jamey Wright, rotation savior.
cc:FB
B-R says both Josh Lindblom and Todd Coffey are 6'4" and weigh 240.
Ajellis was lucky on that one.
ChincoOcho is the amount of pitches Chad threw In the second inning.
Well, I think this goes without saying, but I blame the Sons for tonight's loss. Natch.
Dusty can tell his dogs that he saw Adam Kennedy get an extra-base hit.
The important thing is that Mark Ellis has more home runs than Albert Pujols.
I blame Chad Billingsley.
I blame Oakland.
I blame Marla.
I blame Orel.
