The downside of the specialized bullpen, right there.Sure, everyone knows what they have to do, but it turns into a much harsher statement than it probably needs to be if someone hits a rough patch and gets booted out of their "slot"

I agree that Javy will be back, and I welcome it...but KJ deserves a shot here
They should just give the "closer" role to all the guys in the bullpen. Because really, we want them all to come in and get batters out without giving up runs.
I'm mostly with you, Quad, but Baseball seems to have collectively decided that this isn't to be.On the other side of the argument, I can see how relief pitchers, as creatures of habit, benefit from the consistency.
I would like them to consistently get people out. Like a closer would.
