Chris Capuano (4-0, 2.21) vs. Jamie Moyer (pictured above; 1-2, 4.01).
Capuano, who shares the team lead with Ted Lilly for wins, trails Lilly's rotation-leading ERA by a little less than a run. I can't believe I just wrote that last sentence. But anyway, Capster's pleasantly-surprising start has been impressive to date. He's gotten into the sixth inning in all of his starts but the first one, and he's been reasonably economical in his pitch count, staying under 110 pitches in each of his six starts this year. But Capster has never faced off against...Hans Moleman! (Actually, I have no idea if Capuano has ever faced off against Jamie Moyer--I think the answer is "no", but I don't know for sure.) Can Cap fight off the guy with the wrinkly face? I hope so.
Oh, and SoSG Alex Cora will be in attendance tonight (field level, third base side), trying to see if he can extend the SoSG attendance streak to 9-0. No pressure, AC.
