Post-Game 135 Thread: Padres Swept Away

DODGERS 4, PADRES 2

Sweep, baby! Ted Lilly and the throwback uniforms got the Dodgers the home sweep over the Padres, due in large part to a magnifcent 0-for-2 performance by Eugenio Velez, who is now 0-for-30 on the year. Wait, scratch that; credit should actually go to Rod Barajas (two-run HR in the second inning) and James Loney (2-for-3 with an RBI and a sweet start to a 3-2-6 double play in the third). Matt Kemp also got his 102nd RBI.

Off to Pittsburgh for a one-game (make-up game) "series"--and yet another chance to sweep!

Which September would you prefer;

We over take the gnats but don't get to the Wild Card. Be spoilers.

We go 50/50 all month and keep 3rd locked up. Ending on a positive note.

We downward spiral. Ethier and Donnie fued explodes, Kemp dates another pop princess.

I THINK that's the only three ways we can go from here...

If Uribe stays out, we can end with a winning record.

If Woody had gone to the police, this would never have happened

357 badges at close of play today

@CVF: I'm fine with option 1. In fact, if we can somehow overtake the Giants--and I give this like a 5% chance at best--it would be pretty sweet.

Stuck at 214 badges. It's harder for me to collect while on vacation.

Josh S, check your email (from vacation)

Right at ~100 pogbadges.

I didn't really play much this season, though, b/c it won't work on iPad viewing.

the question is which one is more likely to happen?

I WOULD literally shit a brick if we went all kinds of crazy and took the division, but knowing that's a pipe dream, I'm trying to lower my expectations so I don't have a repeat of last season...
