The recently re-promoted AJ Ellis goes yard for his first career HR? Hiroki Kuroda gets nine runs of support in the victory, bringing him to 10-14 and giving him four wins in his last five starts? The Dodgers pound the Cardinals for the second straight game, and sweep a series on the road for the first time all year?!
Yes, wonders never cease for these Dodgers, who emptied the few occupied seats in St. Louis faster than a Dioner Navarro fart mushroom cloud. In attributing this victory, one may cite Matt Kemp's 2-for-5, 2-RBI day; Juan Rivera's 2-for-5, 3-RBI day; or even James Loney's 3-for-5, 2 2B, 1-RBI day. But I'm calling this series victory thanks to the Sons' visit to Busch Stadium for the opening game of this series. The luck started there, my friends. And you can tell these reeling redbirds that they can only be angry at themselves.
(Wonders didn't begin for Eugenio Velez, it should be noted; Velez PH in the eighth inning and grounded to short to bring Velez to an astounding 0-for-27 for the year. And yet, we keep trotting that beanstalk black hole out there for ABs.)

There goes the shutout (Nix HR), but 'Zona still up 4-1 in the bottom of the ninth with two outs
Shit, another HR (Johnny Gomes), so it's 4-2
