FUCK YOU GEORGE SHERRILL!!!!!!

Dusty Baker said...

whoa! dueling PGTs? what's a dodger to do?

Jason said...

The dog in this PGT photo had it better than us Dodger fans tonight. I'm moving over to the other thread before that fact pisses me off any more.

Mr. Customer said...

I dunno, win?

Dusty Baker said...

this is like the scooby doo/in and out of rooms routine. i'm heading to the "i hate everybody" PGT

karina said...

This is disappointment, anger and sadness at the highest. I think it's the first time I see two different PGT.

NicJ said...

This PGT is so much more roomy.

Mr. Customer said...

Last call for the top thread. I'm back hearer for the duration.

Dusty Baker said...

Great, Dodgers, are you proud? Now you have Mrs Dusty and MDIL reading the PGTs here. You happy now, Torre?

karina said...

The good thing about hitting bottom is the only way left is up, RIGHT?

NicJ said...

Quick everybody mind the bad language!

Neeebs said...

A good manager knows which horse to ride and when to change horses mid-stream. Torre's a great clubhouse manager and a marginal field manager.

Mr. Customer said...

@karina

I dunno, let's ask the d-backs.

NicJ said...

Or you could just die at the bottom.

NicJ said...

@Neebs, Joe knows all about horses.

NicJ said...

we got 12 year olds on dodgertalk complaining about defensive subs, haha,

Neeebs said...

@DB
In that case, que malo los imbeciles.

Dusty Baker said...

I'm starting to question Torre's clubhouse management these days, too, though.

Mr. Customer said...

I hate when a player I've come to like falls the fuck apart. Breezy was a good story last year, but now he's Lance fucking Carter. Time to cut bait.

Dusty Baker said...

@Nic

Those are probably RB's kids calling in.

Neeebs said...

Do we have a decent catcher in the system?

NicJ said...

Lucas May is a pretty good hitter. Not a great catcher.

Mr. Customer said...

@neeebs

Santana-baiting is frowned upon.

Dusty Baker said...

@Neeebs

Yes. He plays for Indians now.

NicJ said...

I would not argue with trying to shop martin this year, he might be non-tendered next year.

Dusty Baker said...

Martin: not a good hitter and a marginal fielding catcher. What's not to like?!

NicJ said...

Santana? he plays the guitar AND baseball?

Mr. Customer said...

Speaking of players I like falling the fuck apart...

Josh S. said...

I want to punch Santana-whiners in the balls. (Present company and those without balls excepted.)

Dusty Baker said...

I cannot for the life of me say Shin-Choo Soo's name correctly.

NicJ said...

Im still too upset about Roberto Clemente to care about Santana.

NicJ said...

The Dodger: GIving away allstars since 1954

karina said...

@Mr C @Nic J when you go to bed tonight, I want you to remember how you crushed a girl's tiny gleam of hope.

Mr. Customer said...

@josh

Genrally agreed, but I will continue to hold it as a strike against Napalm Ned.

Josh S. said...

I know it's the disappoint talking, but right this they could trade everyone not named Kershaw and I wouldn't bat an eye.

Dusty Baker said...

@Josh

Agree. No whining from me re Santana. Just sayin'. Those other Dodger bloggers really whine about this, though. They need to let go almost as much as my father in law needs to let go of the Rams-to-St.Louis bit.

Josh S. said...

Dusty Baker said...

"@Mr C @Nic J when you go to bed tonight, I want you to remember how you crushed a girl's tiny gleam of hope."

HAH! That's a heavy burden you guys will have to bear. How can you sleep at night?

karina said...

So, according to you, I'll have to give up my son.

Josh S. said...

I need an avatar change, but it's tough to do on the phone.

Dusty Baker said...

You might have to put your son up for adoption, Karina. :-(

NicJ said...

I'll be sleeping easy on a pile of out of date J.Martin jersey's bought from the clearance section.

totally kidding.

Dusty Baker said...

MDIL: There's nothing we can do about it.

Dusty: We can whine.

MDIL: We just have to look on the bright side.

Mrs Dusty: At least we're not the Cubs.

Mr. Customer said...

@karina

The only one that I really fear can't turn it around is Sherrill. I'm disappointed in Russ, and I know he's still got the ability. I don't know where his head is at right now.

Mr. Customer said...

Crap, I have to work tomorrow, but I don't think I'll catch much sleep tonight.

NicJ said...

In actuallity i dont mind JMart, i just dont expect a whole lot out of him.

As long as he doesnt drop below Jason Kendall.

Paul said...

Thanks Dusty

I was once again talking to the bartender while
everyone bailed to the next bar and I am thinking they are all out on a smoke break.

MR. F said...

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

karina said...

@Mr C I know you're sorry but I want to apologize for my oversensitivity. Tonight doesn't feel all right.

@Nic J that was funny, but cruel

*sigh*

Dusty Baker said...

I just think that JMart seems not to have very intelligent ABs. He does get lots of walks, but I'd also like for him to hit with a bit of power since he's built like a brick shithouse and should be able to yank some out. And he continues to swing at a lot of bad pitches.

He needs to practice his throw to second, too. It's often off line.

Dusty Baker said...

You know some people are PO'd when there are over 50 comments in a MFPGT late into the evening on a Sunday night.

karina said...

I don't want to give my son in adoption though I do recognize it's not the same player that deserved that moniker.

NicJ said...

I think Mr. F has hit a glitch tonight.

karina said...

@Mr C it's 1:18 am for me and no sleep yet.

Dusty Baker said...

I only have 11 comments in the last 500? What sort of FIFA comment counter is that?

Hell I have 11 in the past ten minutes.

Dusty Baker said...

No sleep til Brooklyn!

Josh S. said...

Oops. Now I'm Josh NoPhoto.

I blame Sherrill.

Dusty Baker said...

At least didn't just get swept by the Os.

NicJ said...

i dont think the iphone lets you change your avatar photo for some reason. Ive tried many times with no success.

NicJ said...

@DB, we have to have something to look forward to next year.

KempKershaw said...

To a couple of people in the other PGT:

Broxton should have never been in to begin with. Period. 4 straight days of pitching/warming up to pitch before today, this is ALL ON TORRE. 4 run lead, Belisario had just thrown only 12 pitches in the 8th.

Torre needs to be gone, now.

Paul said...

JMart is the least of our problems. Bullpen sucks. Big game Broxton gets stuck when th fastball doesn't blow people away. Aging veterans. A centerfielder who should be a captin this year but wants to pose instead.

Oh a fuckin absentee owner.

But hey i have my 2009 world series towel now.

Dusty Baker said...

@Nic

I think it's kinda funny that you know the iPhone's Blogger access won't let you change your avatar, but you keep trying.

We really are sick!

NicJ said...

this is all Billingsley's fault.

Dusty Baker said...

I blame Nixon.

Mr. Customer said...

I blame Greg Brock.

NicJ said...

I blame Columbus, why couldn't he have just made it to India.

Mr. Customer said...

...and Nixon (not Otis)

karina said...

I blame J.D Drew and Andruw Jones

Mr. Customer said...

Can't argue with that, Karina.

NicJ said...

If Andruw Jones would have just eaten Frank McCourt when he was here we would never be in this mess.

Paul said...

Yeah Brox is overused. Floppy breezy's demise has killed this club. We apparently won't use Jeff for more than one out. Right hand specialist? What a fuckin mess.

Dusty Baker said...

Here's a good headline:

"Red Sox bury Lincecum " -SI

Dusty Baker said...

Right hand specialist?

That was like me in junior high.

NicJ said...

Hayooooo!!

Paul said...

I am having a Deja vu from the Broxton meltdown in Game 4. .

Dusty Baker said...

I think Broxton is having deja vu from the Broxton meltdown in Game 4.

karina said...

This girl will try to count sheep and fall asleep.

Tomorrow, she'll find out the Dodgers won the game 6-3 and everything that happened afterwards was a cruel joke of her subconscious.

Good night princes of So Cal, Kings of the West Coast (and your princesses)

Dusty Baker said...

Keep the faith, Karina. Someone needs to! TOmorrow is another day.

The sports gods mocked me today. I capitulate at this point.

MR. F said...

Good night karina.

Mr. Customer said...

Bless you, upcoming short work week.

Paul said...

Crazy thing was I was watching the game
with my paps and he said "big game vs Good hitters, broxton better come out blowing it up or he is going to get worn down".

He needs another pitch.

Glad I declined to see tomorrows game. A win will make me smile but I can't put up with a loss in person right now.

Mr. Customer said...

Night all. Another day, another battle, I guess.

MR. F said...

@NicJ,

While that may be true, I'm generally closer to glitching than most people.

Paul said...

Oh and fuck Joe Morgan. It took him two seconds to call out Dodger fans leaving early. I am glad Orel said if it was Giant fans the Dodgers would drown them out with boos.

I hate that fucker. He ruined my first game experience and he is a piece of shit.

Mr. Customer said...

@Paul

I'm only upset at Brox for choking on the big stage, I know he's been misused and I know he's human. Even after that debacle of an inning, his numbers are good. Bottom line, the pen is bottom-heavy (pun intended, but that's not the point)

Now I'm really going to bed.

Mr. LA Sports Fan said...

Have I mentioned that I hate interleague?

Dusty Baker said...

Fuck the American League.

Peace I'm outta here.

Mr. LA Sports Fan said...

I blame Torre. Using Broxton for so many days, especially yesterday when the game was pretty much toast, drove him into a wall. It's one thing when Broxton shits his pants at the sight of Matt Stairs. It's another thing when Torre rides him all the way to the Bronx and back.

Mr. LA Sports Fan said...

Also, we need to cut Sherrill loose before he starts blowing more games. I loved him last year, but I couldn't give a shit about last year. This is now, and right now he sucks something awful. Cut the dead weight and get somebody competent up. Like T-Slick. He's earned a spot in the 'pen much more than Sherrill.

I had a long day, and finding out about this loss has me plenty pissed.

Paul said...

Yeah Torre coached liked he didn't have confidence in the rest of his bullpen on Saturday. I wonder why....

Dusty Baker said...

food network does not ease the pain - the annoying woman won the cupcake wars episode. Now I'm really pissed off.

Paul said...

Last year we found gems like Belly and Tron. You have to a high turnover with the bullpen these days.

Do you think the SD bullpen will be worth a shit next year?

So new blood needs to come in and fill in the roles. you might get away with managing the bench that way but the bullpen has to contribute.

Mr. LA Sports Fan said...

Reed Johnson was 3-for-4 today. But is he a gamer?

Mr. LA Sports Fan said...

3-for-5, my bad. But still.

Paul said...

I swear if Loretta would not have retired he still would be on this team.

Mr. LA Sports Fan said...

Other points of note:

Belly2 showing some pop is encouraging.

Furcal looks great.

Tron threw only seven pitches in the tenth? What happened?

I cannot believe Broxton was in the inning for as long as he was. He damn near threw 50 pitches. You'd think that once he got around 35, Torre'd say to himself, "This isn't exactly working out."

We scored a run off Joba. That puts some kind of a smile on my face.

Derek Jeter did not hit in the clutch. And yet the universe has not collapsed on itself.

No walks for Kershaw. Very encouraging.

Paul said...

Hey and Bills is back and Ely pitched well. We could be about to make a little noise.

But like every run this year we must DFA someone from the bullpen.

Mr. LA Sports Fan said...

Bills is back, and hopefully a little R&R can recharge his batteries.

Paul said...

Wow and I thought April was a tough month. I hope July is as good as May to April.

Steve Sax said...

Thank god we are done with interleague.

Fred's Brim said...

if there was ever a time to slack on posting a PGT, this was the one

somebody mentioned it in the game thread, but it would have been nice to have Kuo available more than 1 day in a row. I wish he wasnt so fragile. Still I would rather have him every 3rd day than not at all

Dusty Baker said...

Over 100 comments in a PGT after an almost-700 comment GT. You know it's either a big win or a big loss when that happens.

Josh S. said...

I have a hangover and I didn't even drink.

Stupid Dodgers.

Fred's Brim said...

"Stupid Dodgers" was my cry all growing up, so much so that when my mom asks how they've been doing and I complain about the hitting or pitching or whatever, she will respond "Stupid Dodgers."

Fred's Brim said...

I used to say that I hated them a lot too

QuadSevens said...

Watching that game last night on tv was painful. And reading this thread this morning has brought back all the pain. The bullpen better pull their heads out of their asses for this Gnats series.
