Levitatin' Clayton

Thanks to Fred's Brim for sending us this great screen grab from the Dodgers' Wednesday matchup with the Cardinals. Writes FB:

Fred's Brim here! I about choked when Ryan Ludwick nearly hit his second HR off of Clayton last night. Clayton's hop/twirl reaction seemed perfectly appropriate.

I thought it was pretty awesome so I took a screencap of it from MLB.tv. I thought maybe it was something you could use.

According to mlb.com Gameday, Ludwick's fly out in the sixth with Albert Pujols on first base was actually caught over the wall in left-center. I didn't see Ludwick's shot, so I don't know how close it actually came.

But maybe that nifty spin-jump-move by Kershaw gave the air just enough of a vortex around the pitchers' mound to suck that ball back in the stadium. Works for me!

Vin thought it was gone too.

My theory was the ball was headed for the All-You-Can-Eat pavilion, but heard they were out of Dodger Dogs so it died in mid-air.

Manny caught it basically against the wall, with about a foot of room left at most.
