Got it? Because it makes perfect sense. With Chris Carpenter starting tomorrow and Adam Wainwright on Wednesday, tonight is the Dodgers' best chance for a win in this series. The Cards, apparently having fifth starter problems of their own, are calling this a "bullpen game," so unless their starter dominates — a possibility, given the Dodgers' tendencies against untested pitchers — don't expect him to stick around. Monasterios, a spot-starter himself, can further enhance his value to the team by keeping the Dodgers in the game. Oh, and isn't Blake Hawksworth a character from "Dynasty"?

Someone on my staff went to a game this weekend and sat in the primo seats, which were her brother's season seats. It included free food and (non alcoholic) drinks, incl coffee. So I'm guessing that's where Hart got the coffee.
