Carlos Monasterios (2-0, 2.20) vs. Edwin Jackson, RHP (3-6, 6.03)
It's a businessperson's special afternoon home game, one of only two at Dodger Stadium this year, so it's time to sneak out of work, catch the game, and see if we can extend our streak of walkoff victories to a third consecutive game (although, as Jon Weisman puts it, "getting an early lead is fine as well").
Former Dodger Jackson has been "pitching better of late" according to mlb.com, if you can count lowering his ERA from 8.07 at the start of May down to its current 6.03. Jackson lasted 6.2 innings against us in mid-May, giving up six runs and taking the loss. Meanwhile, Monasterios is undefeated and almost halfway to a five-bar gate. So why make the man with a schizophrenic audio settting suffer through a tense outing? Why not just score early (literally) and often, and let the crowd of Dodger fans just bask in the sun, enjoying getting even closer to the Padres before their afternoon scuffle with the Mets? And maybe have a couple of cold ones while we're at it (it's not like we're going back to work this afternoon, anyway)?

@Sax
Dont' be fair.
You guys can just put up a PGT that is combined with tomorrow's GT since they will occur so close to one another.

GA. You suck!!!!!
@ DB - this whole series was strange.
Lost in this ensuing scuffle is Travis Schlichting's first career win!
Go T-Slick!
And other day, another sweep. Now back to watching the scoreboard.
Let's go Mets!
Can we play you every week, Dbags?
3 walk-off wins in a row, wow.
GA, on his At Bat: "I wasn't trying to do too much up there."
When are you ever trying period?
Excuse me a moment...
FUCK YOU STEVE LYONS!
...OK, I'm back.
I share a birthday with Psycho? Ugh.
Post-Game Thread UP!
A balk-off and a GA-limp-off sandwiched around a walk off home run hit by someone other than Ethier. Strange, strange series.
Funny thing is that this is Dbags FOURTH walkoff loss in a row, obviously dating back to the game they played before coming to LA for the series.
Oh for Choi's sake. Of all the people. GAARP just saved his roster spot for awhile longer.
