Post-Game 89 Thread: The Hangover

ASTROS 3, DODGERS 0

The only thing worth looking at tonight.

So much for moving Matt Kemp up in the lineup. Maybe the entire team had a hangover tonight, because the bats had less juice than a pitcher of Kool-Aid. The Dodgers left the bases loaded in the fifth inning and that was their only sniff at the game. As usual, Randy Wolf pitched well enough for the win but didn't receive it. At least he didn't get another no-decision...although he did get the loss. By the way, the Astros are 17-7 against the NL West this season.

This is one of those post-games where I just kick the dog, take the last, warm swig of my 13th Busch Light, mumble something rude to the wife about this being my house, and stumble off to bed without brushing my teeth.

Somebody has to do something about Plaschke already. The guy is a ridiculous joke. Check out his twitterings after tonight's game. So insightful. Wait, wrong word. I meant worthless. He's a parody of a sportswriter.

i couldnt make it past the 4th inning without falling asleep. maybe i was hungover too. Usually after a dud game like this, we break out in a big way - i hope we can continue that tonight vs ol' Roy tonight

Roger Lodge was on KTLA this morning calling Plaschke one of the greatest sports writers for calling out Manny for not acknowledging the fans. The two of them need to be shipped off to an island where they can try to out blowhard each other.

They also need to look at the front page of Dodgers.com right now. There's a picture of Manny. What is he doing? Showing some love to the LFP.

So what if he didn't acknowledge the Mannywood section? That's a McCourt marketing ploy anyway. Pretty much everyone knows the LFP had an unofficial claim on the Mannywood name first.

What can we do re: Plaschke? I'm willing to pitch in.

For one, I don't click on his columns online so that it will reduce his page hits. That is one TIIIIIIINY thing we can all do, and I acknowledge that it's not much. If anything, it helps me sleep better at night knowing that I haven't in some way supported His Doucheness.
