I think I am the only one cheering that Loney was not forced to suffer through camouflage uniforms and piss poor attendance. He deserves better than that.

ugh... i keep refreshing MLBTR crossing my fingers for either, a Juan Pierre dump, or a Adrian Gonzales trade. And if at all possible... a swap for the two.

( I hear "Gonzo" and think of Luis Gonzalez. Gut reaction is just that... blargghhh... wha... wha... wuff.... Adrian Gonzo on the other hand, yeah, thats a player I want the Dojers to get. Loney will hold down the fort until we can get an upgrade.)

Pierre for A-Gon? Why didn't anyone think of that before?! That would have clinched it! San Diego probably would have thrown in prospects too! And we could have traded Schmidt for Halladay! It all could have worked out perfectly!

Glad our young core stayed together. I would have been really excited to have Halladay on our team, but not for Clayton or Bills.

It would have been an upgrade. A talent upgrade, but not an emotional upgrade is the way I just described it to Mrs. Baker who was getting a little weepy about the possibility of losing JMart.

could have explained why we snagged another catcher when we already had two on the roster. then sent the one we traded for to AA (league not the organization). there were other ways to make room for sherrill.

just a theory is all.

Yeah, something is with Manny. Hopefully it's a batting slump and not a mental one related to his season, the PED stuff, the latest leak, etc. Don't need a moody, brooding key player or we'd have kept Kent.
