Chan Ho Park (4-2, 2.36) vs. Josh Johnson (0-0, -.--).
COMMENTS: Untested pitcher alert! Untested pitcher alert! The Dodgers tend to suck against pitchers they haven't seen before. Although Johnson has started against the Dodgers in the past, tonight marks his 2008 debut. Tomorrow the Dodgers face Chris Volstad, making his second first start of the year. (How the heck do the Marlins have a winning record, anyway?)
While Park looks to continue the Dodgers' run of dominating pitching—his 1.29 starting ERA should help—it's the Dodger bats that need to, er, pitch in. (The Braves just outscored the Dodgers 10-8 over three games, yet the Dodgers won the series.) Let's hope Andruw Jones is getting his groove back, because Dodger pitchers can't throw near-perfect games every time out.

Jones might be heating up. Better sit him.
Young AND Berroa? Park has got to be psyched.
Marlins: one of the top homerun-hitting teams in the NL.
Park: famous for giving up some of the biggest HRs (Bonds, Ripken ASG, etc.)
Something's gotta give tonight!
Sax here. Last-minute issues are going to prevent me from going tonight...arrrrrrrgh!
Sax, look on the upside: that means Park will probably pitch a perfect game tonight!
I can't believe this: Dodgers made 3 runs to tie the game, with 2 outs.
DeWitt struck out, Berroa singled, Park bunted, Berroa got to 2nd. The Bison singled, Berroa scored.
Kemp stole second, Ethier singled, Kemp scored.
Ethier stole second and Martin singled. Ethier scored.
After striking the first two batters, Park allows a double by Baker and a single by Johnson (the pitcher !!!!!). Dodgers 3-Marlins 4
Agree with you karina, the 3 runs scored with 2 out was indeed sweet. Love the stolen bases to get them into scoring position!
I'm sorry you couldn't make it to the game tonight. Do you have tickets for tomorrow?
Russell Martin HR! way to go, son!
Dodgers 4-Marlins 4
Russell Martin with a sweeeet hr to tie the game at 4p.
And Kent takes all the mo' out with a comebacker. And Loney Ks.
They made 3 runs with 2 outs, they can do that again...
Not on the 6th inning of this game.
Kuo escapes the bases-loaded sticky wicket in the seventh inning!
DeWitt gets us started with a single! Here we go!
DeWitt singled, no outs, let's go blue!
Okay, next inning then.
Jones taking over in center. Do I smell walk-off HR?
DeWitt not scoring was tough, but whaddya going to do on a 100 mph high slider?
Meanwhile, Broston promptly gives up a leadoff single to right, and Jones stares at it longingly from center field as if it were an orange.
OreL: No, you smell Jones taking over in center.
double play!
Brox induces the DP!
Let's have some faith, guys
Dodgers get out of the eighth! Ethier Martin and 0-for-3 Kent up next
Wow, after seeing that commercial, I need a pool in my house.
Pinto, my countryman, hit him boys!
Ethier Ks, a 2-for-4 night. Here comes Martin.
Karina, you are a beacon of optimism...
Unusual. Pinto went to his mouth while on the mound. Costs him a ball.
Hanley Ramirez with the boo-boo!
This ump's strike zone goes quite low.
I can't help it, it's a way to see life. Anyway, i want the Dodgers to win this ASAP, i feel they could lose if i go to bed.
FJL with two out and Russell on first.
Will Pinto bean Loney?
Too bad Pinto is a lefty; Martin can't steal second and get in scoring position
karina, don't go to bed!!!
Arizona blew two late leads, but scored 2 in the top of the 11th to beat the Nats. Darn.
Orel, in response to your first post, the only thing that Jones is heating up is his microwave dinner.
He's on deck!
Loney works the walk! 1st & 2nd for guess who!
I picture Karina snoozing on her keyboard.
Loney has a nice at bat to work the walk and cause a lot of pitches. Well done, James.
However, it does make it easier for the Marlins defensively...not that they need it with big Andruw up and two out.
I'm here! Jones is up....
Everybody pitches Jones away since they know he can't hit it
Andruw had a nice swing there. He just needs to nail down the timing.
Jones is up! Karina is up!
Waaah wah wah wahhh....
I promise not to feel bad about making jokes about Jones. Unless he really helps the team to go into the playoffs.
Closer in a non-save situation. I don't like it.
nice play by berroa to get that first out.
by the way, nice K there Jonesy to end the eighth
Berroa singlehandedly fields us in the ninth. Nice job, Sammy!
Berroa can't hit but he's decent with the glove.
These eHarmony ads are so mean to lonely people.
I am not confident we can avoid extra innings.
Berroa then Maza. Hmmm.
It doesn't look like it. I'm thinking about making some coffee.
Too bad Berroa can't bat...
...too bad Maza can't bat either.
Where oh where is Furcal???
BTW, Sammy is coming back out to pitch the tenth. Gulp.
Those Hollywood Park ads touting a Berlin concert are mean to the horses.
Hey Orel, did you add some more banner pictures recently? They're nice...
Also, got confirmation that we will be part of the Dodger Stadium review on Yahoo! Sports' Big League Stew. Thanks, 'Duk!
Congratulations!
c'mon Kemp, END THIS with one swing
Did you go to the other side?
Ethier walks. Son Martin is next.
Still here!
Martin walks too.
Nelson walks 2 but K's LaRoche. 1st & 2nd w/2 out, Loney up.
I am not sure why LaRoche is swinging here when the guy just walked two straight batters...
...and he k's on a bad pitch. Three pitches, and sit down. Andy, what the f'?
I'm cracking open one more beer, but that's it. One. More. Beer.
Come on, Loney!
Losing beauty sleep but they'll gonna win this game (have another date tomorrow night)
Loney barely fouled off that second pitch, and it's promptly 0-2.
Vin says Loney is hitting .296 with RISP. But he's batting .301 overall...so doesn't that mean he's worse with RISP than with no RISP?
Same fella, Karina?
WHAT? Okay, Karina, now I'm awake...
a) date #1 with new guy?
b) date #2 with last guy?
Do tell...
Loney was lucky to catch that pitch and foul it. Still 1-2.
date #3 with same guy...
2-2. Man, when Nelson misses, he really misses. Those are high balls.
Wow, something's cooking! And I'm not talking at Dodger Stadium!
Ugh.
Date #3! Wow, this guy is a lucky one. Have a great time...
...hopefully better than Loney, who just grounded weakly to second. And in trots Brian Falkenbourg for the 11th. Gulp, gulp, gulp.
I was going to stretch out a bit, but we're apparently in a flex alert.
I'm sleepy.
*blushing*
Thanks a lot!
Tomorrow is gonna be interesting. He's a metalhead at heart and we'll be going to an art opening at the museum of contemporary art, where my friends' new band will perform. I'm sure, we'll do something afterwards, because it is one of my friends' birthday.
I bet my life my friends' music should be electronic, very experimental. Besides, i also told him lots of his sister's friends will be there. I explained all of this but he doesn't care and he said he'll join me whatever i want to do tomorrow.
Tomorrow night, they are also broadcasting the game on TV, i'm feeling kinda guilty because i won't be watching it.
Shit shit shit. They should just pitch around Ramirez. But they don't, he homers and it's 5-4 Florida.
Karina, make sure to take your blackberry! We'll keep you posted.
This guy sounds crazy about you! We'll think happy thoughts for you while watching tomorrow's game.
Ugh, do we even have a chance, with the bottom of the lineup up? Including Jones?
No. No chance.
They call Andruw up on a checkswing, but they may have been fooled by the shadow of his gut.
Nevertheless, with a 1-2 pitch, he...flies out.
Andruw with warning-track power! He's developing, I tell ya!
Thanks, i'll be checking the game thread as soon as i get home.
0-for-2, Andruw. Danke fur spielen.
I'll tell you what's developing on Andruw. HIS GUT.
On the other hand, his batting average is regressing again.
He's scared to be nowhere near Mendoza.Perhaps.
Dugout shot of Grady Little, looking forlorn and stoic...oh wait, that's Joe Torre! My bad.
Hanley Ramirez subscribes to the jaunty school of cap wearing.
DeWitt flies for the second out.
DeWitt is showing some patience at the plate.
Berroa is our last hope.
"He's got two down, and Angel Berroa standing in his way."
Berroa is not standing in my way. Good night, everybody!
Back to second place! Night all!
Would it be possible the field players on the team think the starting pitchers can throw near no hitters every night?
Night, everyone!
What the HELL is Joe DOING putting in Brian Falkenborge!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!??!?!??!??!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!?????!!??!!!???!?!?!????!!!!?????!!!!!???????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????!!!!??!!!!!?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????
