Derek Lowe (8-8, 3.74) vs. Brandon Webb (14-4, pi).
COMMENTS: Manny manny manny, manny Manny manny Manny Manny manny manny manny. Manny. Manny? Manny! Manny! Oh yeah, and there's a game tonight, against the team one game ahead of us and in the division lead, so if we win, we're in first place. The Snakes have their ace, Webb, on the mound; but Lowe has to be so stoked about getting Manny (and finally some potential run support) that he may bring his good stuff to the game tonight. Don't get distracted by the Manny mania, Dodgers--we have an important game to play tonight, the first of four against the Snakes.

Has anyone heard what day Manny will start with the Dodgers?
Looks like Tomorrow. It is possible that he arrives in time to maybe pinch hit tonight.

Watching the Angels DESTROY the Yankees. They have THREE 3 run homeruns in the game. Man, to have that kind of power on a team...Hope the dodgers get that, and SOON!
has there been a ramirez sighting at dodger stadium
No sign of Ramirez, but Scully tells us that Manny will wear #28, because his current number, 24, has been retired by the Dodgers.
Hi, honey, I'm home...
Nice trade the Nedster pulled off earlier in the day. There was some interesting chatter at DT from someone who claimed to have been talking to Dodgers FO people about LaRoche in the adult baseball camp, who told him they felt LaRoche wouldn't hold up through a full season at third. Also, Andy has had labrum surgery, and his power hasn't come back since. So far, neither LaRoche brother has been worth it. Will two months of Manny?
Alex, the Angels are just going through a phase. They'll forget all about the longball in a week or two.
some hits would be nice
wtf sweeney with a hit
As soon as Matt Kemp hit that ball, I said, "It's not deep enough."
Too bad Bowa couldn't see that. That very well could have been our last, best hope.
At least Ethier showed everyone that, even "ill," he still can outhit Jones (Ethier, who hits Webb well, was 1-for-1, while Jones was 0-for-3). Hopefully, Torre is taking notes.
Too bad Andre got nailed at the plate, though.
Martin's K leaves us with two more outs to score a run or more.
Loney hits a dribbler. So, with two out, Casey at the Bat.
Casey is 0-for-3 with two Ks tonight.
Casey lunges for a basehit to center.
And of course, Andruw Jones rolls up to the plate. Puh-leeeeeeeez. Diamondbacks win.
Andruw Jones, first pitch swinging, flies out to left. Close-up shot shows him smiling, of course.
Dodgers fall two games back of first. Three games to go in this series.
ANDRUW JONES SUCKS, SIT HIS ASS!
Good night. I'm going to go play Wii Mario Kart.
