76 Unocal Loses $10; McCourt Gains $15

The Dodgers are offering $10 gas cards to fans who come to the Sunday July 27 game vs. the Washington Nationals. Translation: Come spend $15 on parking, and make back $10 in gas!

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers and 76 have partnered to offer fans a “Free Ride” to Dodger Stadium. Fans will receive a $10 gas certificate with the purchase of each ticket to the July 27 game against the Washington Nationals at 1:10 p.m. The “Free Ride” promotion begins now through July 26 and is valid for all Field, Loge, and Reserve level seats.

“We’re pleased to offer fans $10 of free 76 gas to make their ride to Dodger Stadium a free one,” said Dodger Vice President of Consumer Development Frann Vettor-Gray. “We hope this will provide more families the opportunity to enjoy Dodger baseball”.

Fans can partake in the “Free Ride” promotion starting today by purchasing tickets in Field, Loge, or Reserve sections online at www.dodgers.com/freeride, by calling 1-866-Dodgers, or at the Dodgers Box Office. Redemption vouchers will be provided upon purchase of qualifying tickets and can be exchanged at the stadium on July 27, or any subsequent day at the stadium offices during regular business hours, for $10 gas certificates redeemable at all participating 76, Conoco and Phillips 66 stations.

Too bad they aren't extending the offer to all the season-ticket holder schlubs who prepaid $15 for their parking, months in advance. Oh well, I guess $10 is better than nothing--it can buy a couple of gallons.

Yes, but Frankie charges your van $60 for parking (four cars' worth of two people each).

Only if your car doesn't use diesel.
